I have honestly been never very impressed with Cheng Hing. Although the prices are pretty cheap, the food is really not good enough for even that. They do give you these wonderful crispy noodles. The orange dipping sauce is a bit too sweet, but you can get used to it. It’s an okay place to go with friends, but you really might do better to just cook up something yourself.

I thought Julia’s was going to be one of those diners that makes everything pointlessly fancy. But actually, they make a great basic breakfast for those of us who just want some fluffy pancakes and crisp bacon. I went with a coupon and the waitstaff was very nice about it. The restaurant looks right out onto Broadway, which makes for some fun watching while eating.

I was worried that if I saw a dentist downtown, they would be busy and chaotic, trying to rush me through. but everyone took their time and told me what was going on at each minute. What was the best, though, was how inexpensive my fillings were. I am not sure if they gave me a special deal, or they are always this inexpensive. Either way, I'm going back.

I like used book stores, but I was not impressed with this one. It wasn't that cheap and the reason I go to used book stores is to save money. Maybe I've been spoiled by Half Price Books. Also, the selection wasn't very impressive, I couldn't find most of the books that I had gone there to buy. All in all, I'd say try another store.

They also have luxurious thread that you can barely knit with because you can’t let go of it. I am amazed that such a small store can have such an impressive selection.

Fellini Cafe Trattoria is pretty disappointing. I stopped by with friends and had a pizza that was both soggy and had cheese I would not accept from a pizzaria. I decided to give them another chance and had some pasta that was passable, but honestly not as good as I could make easily as home. They also charge you to split a meal, which is off-putting.

The rest of this grocery store contains food on the gourmet side, both in selection and price. This is a good place to go for that special item you can’t find anywhere else.

Appetito's makes a pretty good pizza, a really good one considering that they are open later than any other pizza place. They don’t charge extra for delivery, and their pizzas are usually crispy enough. Nothing to write home about, but definitely a great late-night snack. Their pizzas take a little longer to deliver than most, so give yourself enough lead time.

Occasionally Yours is a good place to go if you want something fresh tasting and don’t mind paying a little more to get it. The service is helpful and friendly and the food is of good quality. It’s never very busy, which is also a plus. They also have a selection of desserts they bake on site if you just want a tiny snack.

I have searched and search, but I have never found a restaurant like Gnocchi. Obviously, they have amazing gnocchi. It melts. But they also have indescribably good salmon and roasted vegetables. It’s bring-your-own-wine, so you can save some money there. The restaurant is small, so it can get a bit crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, but if you can get past that, it’s a great place to eat.
