I really had high expectations for Glo's. Everyone says they love it and there's always a line. So my girlfriend and I braved the crowds, waited for 30 minutes, and finally got seated. The food was much worse than I expected. The french toast was thin and not particularly tasty and it was *so expensive*. I love breakfast food but I will definitely not return. Honestly, it's better, and cheaper, at Denny's and you can eat when you get there.

Here's my problem with B&O: they can't do anything simply. Like if you want French Toast, they only have this like vanilla-infused, almond-encrusted stuff. and their salads have walnuts and raspberry vinagarette. All my friends love it, but frankly I think it is overpriced and not that good. The desserts are actually very high quality, but very big and pricey, so plan on splitting them. I had a very nice tiramisu there.

City Market is, like most convenience stores, a bit over-priced. But they have an incredible selection including produce and vegan cookies. Also, they have a deli that is actually priced the same as a super market's. You can get two pieces of chicken and jojos for under $3. The staff there are super friendly and helpful. They are basically my grocery store right now and it honestly isn't costing me *that* much more.

The slices at Pizza Brava are *huge*. They are more than 2 times the size of a Pagliacci slice. and I think the pizza has been steadily improving for that last few months. They usually reheat, so the crust ends up being pretty crispy. The pizza is fine, not so bad that it's not worth the deal. and, actually, after you've eaten there enough, it kind of grows on you.

When I have a lot of money some day, I am going to go into Bailey Coy and buy like 100 books. They pick the most interesting books. I could spend hours sitting on the step and reading. and they also have half-priced books for the cost-conscious.
I am particularly impressed by their two discount policies. 1: they have a quote outside and, if you guess what book it's from, you get 20% off any book. 2: if you buy 10 books, they give you a gift certificate worth the *average price* of the books you've bought. So if you're buying expensive books, you get one free.

Everyone *loves* Elliot Bay Bookstore. But they don't let you bring books into the coffee shop and I find their store hard to navigate. However, I have been to quite a few readings there that are awesome and I did once buy an awesome children's book there. and I know they have an amazing selection. There just aren't a lot of places to sit and read.

The best way to do Duke's is to go to their website and sign up for their email list. You automatically get a "buy one get one free coupon" *and* and free dinner on your birthday (that does not even require a purchase!). They also have half-price appetizers at their happy hours and reasonably-priced drinks.

I was a member at the Eastern Athletic Club for a summer and it was wonderful. Frankly, the prices are a little steep for me otherwise, but they had a three-month deal. Trendy Wendy is a bit wild for my taste, so I didn’t venture in until this weekend. I was surprised to find inside some milder clothing that I could see myself wearing. It’s a great place to go if you want to make your wardrobe a bit more interesting and just need a little push. I found the staff to be very helpful and not pushy at all.
