Totally Disapointing!!!

With great fanfare and anticipation, "South" opened to the promise of delivering a more upscale food experience in Southie. (Whether Southie needs it or not is another question.)
Do not believe any of the breathlessly positive reviews of this establishment. It is so misguided on so many levels, I do not know even where to begin. So let me start with the food....I went with three friends and so we were able to sample several appetizers, salads, and entrees. The quesadilla was presented like a deep-fried flying saucer, and was so unappealing, it was left uneaten. On to the salads, we thought, and while adequate, they were so small for the price, that unfortunately, we were still hungry when our entrees arrived. The special of the evening was a London Broil. Someone sitting next to us ordered the same, and it looked good. So we gave it a try. It was presented to us maybe an hour after we ordered it, and was so rare, it was still raw. We sent it back, and this very expensive, off the menu special for the evening, was then returned to us as a heap of sliced meat in a pile on a small dish, totally absent of any of the side dishes initially presented, such a vegetables and potatoes. This was totally inexcusable. At this point, it was Please...get us out of here!!!
We sat at the bar, and I can only characterize the service as the Southie equivalent of Daryl, Daryl and Daryl..three bozos who were more into themselves than even trying to attempt to satisfy a customer.
To be fair, the only redeeming entrée was the burger, which I admit was quite good. But it was surely not enough to ever get me to set foot in this restaurant again.
Oh yes, and if someone should think, why didn't you approach the manager and tell him why you were so disappointed in your meal? ... Well, on my way to the ladies room, I encountered a heated shouting match between either one of the owners or manager and a kitchen person...again a very unprofessional display that totally summed up my evening. I wanted to scream!
