We love Trader Joe's because they have lots of great food (that you don't find at the grocery store) for reasonable prices. I particularly love the tortillas, miso soup packets, asian sauces, apricot apple sauce, bruchetta, frozen meals, and cut up veggies that are available there. My son also loves that they generally have samples of some cookie or another out.

We didn't buy our van at Honda of Bellevue (because they didn't have the color we wanted in stock), but we do get our van serviced there. When I got the first oil change and service done, I just waited there while they did it. They have a nice waiting room with magazines and toys. They seemed well-organized, got us in right away, and came and told me when the service was done.

We had a good experience purchasing our van at Honda of Seattle. The only complaint would be that it took too long, but I'm sure that's always the case. There are lots of things they are required to go over with you. Everyone we talked to there was really nice. When we needed paint touch-up on our van, they were able to recommend a company that does that on-site (at Honda of Seattle), so they are able to do it much cheaper than if they had their own location.

Wildfire Ranch BBQ has good (not great) barbeque style food. You order at the counter and get it to go or take it to your own table. Sandwiches and dinner entrees come with sides (one with a sandwich or two with an entree) that you get to choose. They also have main course salads and kid meals. It is a decent dining experience.

Azteca has good Mexican food and it's a great place to bring kids. There are so many choices on the menu it's hard to decide. The portions are quite large, but if you're in the mood for dessert at the end, you have about six choices and each is only $1.99. The kids also have lots of menu options and dessert is included in the meal. The ambiance isn't great, but it works for family dining.

We were so excited to find a Chili's in Washington (having moved from California)! We love the food at Chili's and this one is no exception. The problem with this particular Chili's is the service. It is SLOW. Even when it seems like the restaurant is not crowded, it's slow. They also have a balloon guy there a lot of the time...He comes to tables with kids (and even sometimes tables with just adults) and makes them balloon creations. This is fun for the kids, but it can be annoying.

Chopstix Piano Bar is such a fun place to go out! The pianists are so talented, they sing a huge variety of songs, and encourage lots of audience participation. You can make requests too. You sit at a table for the show and can order food (which is excellent) and drinks with your waiter/waitress. It's a great place to go with a group of friends and laugh the night away. The only downside is that it gets very crowded on the weekend and you have to pay a cover. If you can go during the week, it's free to get in and easy to get a table.

Fireworks is such a great store! They have a fun variety of artistically painted furniture, decor, jewelry, a great line of cookbooks, and lots of other odds and ends. There is a lot of stuff crammed into a small space, so it's not the best place to cruise around with a stroller, especially when it's crowded.

We have had some trouble finding a good Chinese restaurant on the Eastside (other than PF Chang's). Most have been too bland and oily. Finally we found Mandarin Garden in Issaquah, which is pretty darn good. So far, we've only ordered take-out, so I can't comment on the atmosphere, but we're just so happy to have found good Chinese food. The honey walnut prawns are particularly good.

You probably don't think of North Bend when looking for great Italian, but this restaurant is wonderful! The ambiance is very upscale and classy, but because it's in North Bend, it automatically has a casual component...It's OK to wear jeans and it's OK to bring kids. The prices are very reasonable for such a nice restaurant and the food is delicious. There are lots of choices on the menu too.
