Wow. People are very touchy with regard to this restaurant.
The food is decent but I would not say that it is authentic (I have been to the Basque region of Spain a handful of times and I can tell you that Harvest Vine is not particularly authentic -- come on, they have venison on their menu). That being said, the food is okay. We ordered the olives (very good), the cured meats (pretty good), 2 cheeses (lots of goat cheese), the mushrooms (not bad), the pork (not so good) and 2 glasses of wine. Our bill came to over $100 (a bit steep considering the small portion sizes -- even for tapas).
The atmosphere was okay -- it kind of seemed like a place that people go to feel important. Our server was so-so. She delivered all of our plates at once, and considering we were sitting at the counter this just didn't work as there wasn't enough room for them all. Sitting at the counter was nice as you get to see all the food prepared, but it feels like everyone is watching you eat which I don't like.
I don't think I would go back.

I am incredibly scared of heights and I tried to go to the library the other day...I only made it to the fifth floor and I had to turn around and leave because it was so scary. I didn't even get to check out the shelves. The escalators are super steep, there are all kinds of balconies to look down to other floors from, and the windows all around don't help for those with vertigo. I wanted to sit on the floor and crawl out.

We used Cascade Moving & Storage Inc. for our recent move and they were great. The movers were on-time, professional, very hard working and careful -- they taped and wrapped up all of our furniture really well, they brought cardboard that they placed near the entry to avoid scratching our floors. We didn't have a full-service move so we packed all of our own boxes, but they moved all of these boxes for us (some companies won't do this) and they gave us a fairly good estimate on cost, although it did go over on time a little bit. The owner of the company is the guy that gives the estimate and he is fully insured. I think there is a 4 hour minimum, 2 men for weekend moves. For a small fee they will also go to the city and have them put up do-not-park signs for the duration of the move which was key in our neighborhoods.

Maybe this makes me an alcoholic, but I was very thirsty and it took a good 15-20 minutes to put in an order for a cocktail. However, our waiter was very nice -- he was quick to recommend dishes and also told us which ones to avoid and he suggested a decent bottle of wine. The food was kind of hit-or-miss -- we had the blue cheese soufflé which was excellent but the mussels were so-so (too much tarragon or something). I had the ribs which were good but the polenta side didn't quite taste right. The desserts were good but my favorite one wasn't even on the menu or specials -- sorbet + sour cream ice cream -- it was a suggestion by the waiter. The ambiance of the place was so-so -- the ceilings reminded me of an office building and it is kind of cave-like in there.

I would highly recommend Dietrich Miklautsch of Columbia Funding Mortgage as a mortgage broker. I have used his services on two occasions and was very satisfied both with the loans that he was able to find (quickly) as well as the level of service that he and Columbia Funding Mortgage provide. He is highly professional, easy to talk to and works very hard to save you money. His downtown office location in Columbia Towers is very convenient (and the views are awesome). You can fill out a preliminary loan application on the Columbia Funding Mortgage website http://www.caseysullivan.com/apply_f.html. The form is very convenient and easy to use and makes the process go smoothly (just be sure to select Dietrich as your mortgage broker when you fill out the form). I have recommended him to several of my friends and coworkers and they were also very happy with Dietrich and Columbia Funding.

Went to Machiavelli Ristorante in Capitol Hill for the first time and will not be going back. The caesar salad was saturated with dressing and the dressing had way too much anchovy flavor to it. I got the fettuccine bolognese and couldn't eat it because it had too much garlic (i.e. I could see little garlic pieces in the sauce). While the menu items are cheap (~$9-10 for pasta), if you add a salad and a drink it adds up pretty quickly for not being good. The wait staff is very nice, though.

I am really scared to go to the dentist but Dr. Harper was great and put me completely at ease. He spent about 45 minutes asking me questions, examining my teeth and then giving me my options for treatment. He was very gentle and guided me through everything that he was doing. He spoke with me at length about my previous dentists and previous dental work and he seemed very conservative but knowledgeable in his approach. For example, whereas my previous dentist had said that I had 2 cavities, Dr. Harper said that I simply had staining on those teeth. Dr. Harper's assistant, Diana, was very friendly and gentle and the office coordinator, Connie, was very nice and accommodating. My whole experience was very positive. I would highly recommend Dr. Harper as a dentist.

There is an Ezell's lingo that the girl who took my order let me in on...when ordering the crispy always ask for spicy because it sounds better (because crispy = spicy and original = original but both are actually crispy). The chicken was very tasty, didn't seem greasy, and was even good 2 hours later when it was cold. The sides were great (I had the coleslaw which was surprisingly good, the mashed potatoes and the sweet roll which is a must). I would recommend sticking with the spicy or the original because my friend got the chicken strips and they weren't as crispy as she wanted. The Ezell's on 23rd has a parking lot which is a plus but it can be hard to find a spot since they only do take-out and so everyone eats in their cars.
