This Old Navy is very similar to others around. It is one nice thing about this chain, when you've been in one you can pretty much tell what the layout of the store is going to be, so it makes it easier to navigate. They have had some amazing clearance sales that are pretty extensive and have great prices. If you take a little bit of time to dig through the back of the store you can find some great bargains. Additionally, they have started to carry some items for dogs. It's fun stuff. We got a Santa hat for my puppy this Christmas. So cute.

It's great that St. Louis has a Trader Joe's. The problem is that there is only one for many more people that would like to shop there. But honestly, there are a ton of them in California and they're still always packed. I think with this great of a product it's just going to be crowded, so just go during a weekday and you'll be fine. They don't buy a product to sell unless they can sell it for the cheapest price. Their frozen meals are great, much better than what you get in the supermarket. The spices, nuts and cheese are all really good deals. Plus the dish washing detergent gets great ratings in consumer reports.

I've been here a number of times and 95% of the times I've gotten the salads. It's a little confusing the first time you're there. You just line up with your paper that you hand to the people behind the counter and they fill out what you've ordered. The salads are just fantastic with the availability of toppings. Especially the sugared pecans. They also have basic Thanksgiving day food that is pretty good. It does get very crowded over the lunch hour, and can be tough to find a table because the place itself isn't really that big.

I love the burritos at Baja Fresh. I was so excited when this chain came to the bay area. They make good burritos with a variety of options with regards to the beans, veggies and meats. I've varried my orders and they have all been good. I also live with some very picky eaters and so our order can get a little complicated (no cilantro, extra beans, etc. etc.) and the cashiers never bat an eye, and handle it seamlessly. The place is always clean and the salsa (along with the other ingredients) are always fresh.

We come here all the time for lunch. The calamari is great, some of the best I've had in the bay area. It's a fun atmosphere, and if you've got a larger party they seat you upstairs in sort of secluded rooms that are less loud. It's a Cajun menu and everything I've had here has been totally fine. I like the blackened fish. The prices are pretty standard for Palo Alto. It does start to get VERY busy at night when the kids come to drink, but during the day it's fine. The patio is especially nice in the summer.

I've been here both at night and during the day for lunch and you can barely believe that it's the same place. I frequent here for their lunch boxes. You get a few pieces of sushi and then maybe some teryaki chicken and tempura for very little money. I think it's just as good quality as some of the much more expensive sushi places in San Jose. Then at night it becomes this crazy bar atmosphere where people are standing on the table doing sake bombs. Just nutty. I prefer the lunch atmosphere, but the sake bomb people seem to be having their share of fun too.

We stopped by here planning to get a picture framed by their framing department, but decided to look around the place isntead. WHat do you know, they had an excellent selection of do-it-yourself frames in the store. We were able to have a variety of options and eventually settled on one. The customer service was fine, although there can get to be pretty long lines. Especially around or after the holidays it can get crowded because of all the good deals.

I've been to Best Buy lots of times and often choose it over Circuit City because Best Buy workers aren't paid on commission and somehow it makes them less irritating. I went here the other day for a TV antenna and surprisingly the guy knew a ton about antennas! He had lots of info and actually led me to buy the less expensive one because he said the more expensive one wouldn't help me. I think that indicates honesty. They have a good selection of electronics and some of the best prices.

I had heard so many people say good things about Cooks that I was so excited to try it out....and then I did. It was totally fine. But really just fine. The service was fine. The ambiance was fine. The food was fine. I just really wanted it to be more. If the fish is so fresh I would have expected that it would have tasted a little bit better. It was pretty crowded and maybe it was just our table, but I felt like I was getting bumped around a lot. The prices are a little steep, but I may just feel like that because I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

I love love love Applewood Pizza. It's just so yummy. Definitely a California feel to the pizza. It's got a thin crust with a variety of interesting toppings available. The pizza is a little expensive, and maybe that has something to do with the fact that every time I've been in there it's been pretty deserted. I don't know if they focus more on takeout or something, but it's always pretty dead in there.
I've only ever had pizza here, but there are a bunch of things on the menu.
