After moving to St. Louis for school, I couldn't belive that more people hadn't told me about Forest Park! In my mind it's such a draw, yet seemingly underused. If you go to Golden Gate park in SF in the summer you'd be lucky to find a parking spot, but in Forest Park, it's so large tha it never feels crowded. There are so many things to do, with the majority being free. The zoo is a gem, with free admission. We love to walk the dog along the miles of paths and watch people pay handball, softball, on the paddleboats, or picnicking. Such a great place!
