This place is extremely large and confusing (just like Home Depot) and has terrible service and prices. I have encountered many horrors when going here, including long lines, incorrect scanning at the register with my credit card charged twice the amount it was supposed to have been, and high prices. If you prefer a more helpful environment this is not the place.

Home Depot in Staten Island is extremely large, has everything you need, but has TERRIBLE customer service. The employees are all depressed and have a horrible attitude from working long hours in a warehouse type environment. I have noticed this attitude in stores with similar atmospheres such as Lowes and Costco. One time, we picked up the wrong item and wanted to simply exchange it for another one of the same price, and were made to stand on a terribly long line and get an attitude problem from the employee once we reached the front. If you are looking for good, helpful service in renovating/decorating your home, this is NOT the place. The prices, however, are good.

This place is great for yard/home supplies. I bought many handy things from here, like storage containers, paint, garden hose nozzles, and extension cords. The prices are great and they are likely to have exactly what you're looking for. Unlike Home Depot or Lowe's this place is smaller and thus tends to have better customer service.

Their pizza has won awards, and that's for a reason! This place is much better than Denino's (which people rave about, I have no clue why!)

UPS is great for shipping, and they are making it better and easier through online services. You can practically do anything online now, including ordering shipping supplies and stamps to getting a worker to pick up your shipments from your business. However, the prices are way too high for shipping supplies. A 2-foot roll of bubble tape is 4 dollars! Thats crazy. The boxes are the same price too. I usually reuse this stuff to save money or get them annoyed by wrapping books in newspaper. However, they get whatever you're sending/receiving SENT ON TIME, I often receive my online orders a day after ordering!

Maaco has great package prices for auto body work. Painting is extremely cheap here, and you are unlikely to find any other place cheaper. You may hear that their paint is low in quality and peels and chips easily, but I doubt that. They do use some kind of "euro" paint which is a different type, but it stays on and looks great. I spent two times the price to paint my car at another place and regretted it!

This is a great optometrist. They have a small selection of glasses, but the expertise is incredible. You will get what your eyes need to be healthy. For example, my sister had a severely increasing prescription at a young age, and this optometrist turned it around. I highly recommend this place!

This place has a good selection of glasses at reasonable prices. The optometrists are ok, some a bit crabby. They accept an array of insurance, so you're likely to get coverage. I found some nice stylish glasses- they even have designer ones like Gucci, Prada, and Versace. The offices are small. They are prompt and responsible with their service, if you order contacts you get them in 2 days.

This place has awesome sweet potato fries. They have these mini jukeboxes by every booth that hardly ever work. If you hit them a couple of times they might turn on during the end of your visit. The prices are cheap like a typical diner, and its open practically at all hours. I have never seen it closed! Good service too, very prompt. It also has a surprisingly nice party room upstairs. Tacky decor though, like a regular diner.

Not sure about the cleanliness though, but tastes great! I don't know why they titled this A&W Root beer, its a diner. If you're looking for a cleaner place, try colonnade diner next door.
