Fashion Bug for the most part is way overpriced for the quality of their clothing. It's kind of hit or miss, some things look crappy after a couple washes, some look nice for like a year.
I wouldn't pay more than sale/clearance price for anything in there though. The quality is not worth it.

Evangelines is one of my favorite stops in Old Sacramento. Their prices range from about a dollar for things like buttons or postcards, to high priced costumes. They have so many different things in there, lots of unique items, novelty gifts, "risque" stuff. They even have a little hidden "adults only" area. It's a really fun shop and a must see in Old Sac.

I love EJ's Little People. I've taken both of my children there to get their first haircuts. I love the little package they do with the before and after pictures and the lock of hair. Very cute. The cuts are not too expensive, and they do a good job. Much better than the $10 places. The staff is friendly and the place is obviously very child centered.

Crystal Moon Gifts is such a fun little shop. It's a great place to find a unique gift, or something fun for yourself. Lots of candles, stones, books ...etc. Prices range from reasonable to kind of high. This is another store that it's better to go without kids, as there are plenty of breakable items. Staff has always been friendly even when I bring my daughters in, though. (Probably because I don't let them touch anything!)

This store does have a nice selection of quilt quality fabrics. Prices are what you would expect for that. They also carry machines and some accessories. I've found the staff to be very unhelpful, even rude. I was looking for a specific item and was referred to Country Sewing Center and told they might have it. When I inquired with them, I was treated poorly and made to feel stupid for even asking. Because of that I don't recommend them, even though their fabric selection is nice.

Cottage Soapworks is a great shop. They carry supplies for the home soap/toiletry maker as well as pre-made items for those who enjoy handcrafted items but don't make them. ; ) They have a nice variety of fragrance oils, molds, base oils, unscented, premade items that you can have scented. Last time I was in they also had a very large selection of Primal Elements soap, which is the only melt and pour soap I will use, simply because it looks so cool! : )
The owner is a gem-friendly, helpful and fun! She offers lots of classes, sign up for the mailing list

Copper Kettle Candy Company may wreak havoc on my waistline, but I love it anyway. In a world full of Russel Stover, this is a nice change. You pay more, but the quality is more than worth it. Their white chocolate creations are incredible! Parking is good and they're located in a nice shopping center. Staff is always very friendly.

Coach House has some cute gift items, but they tend to be overpriced depending on what you're looking for. The store is very clean though, the staff helpful and friendly. It's not a very child friendly place though, as lots of the items are breakable. Overall I'd recommend them. The kids love looking at the hermit crabs they carry.

This is a wonderful place for children's dental needs. The staff is wonderful with the kids and do their best to make sure everyone is comfortable and secure. The decor is wonderful, there are murals everywhere and a couple different areas for the children to play in.
The staff always makes sure to explain things in "children's terms" so the child understands what's going on, as well as the parents.
You're not only allowed to be with your children while they're being examed/having work done, but you're expected to. I think that's wonderful, I would not take my children to a dentist who didn't allow me to remain with them while they're young.
