Reflections in glass does amazing work. You can get basic glass needs there, but they specialize in beautiful etched glass, beveled glass, stained glass, and much more. They do windows, mirrors, glass for cabinets. They're quick with orders and the staff is friendly and personable. I'd highly recommend them! Prcies are reasonable too.

The Beat is a fabulous find. They carry a large selection of used cds and tapes, and have a decent selection of vinyl too. The prices on their used stuff is usually really good. They also have a large selection of new items, I've found their prices on new stuff to usually be more than the chain stores, but I'd rather support a local business. The staff is helpful, and you can order things you can't find in the store. Parking is on the side of the building and is actually pretty good for downtown!

Waterworld is a lot of fun, but expensive. Last time I went admission was almost $20 a person, plus parking, raft/tube rentals if you want them, locker rental, food ...it gets expensive! There's nothing quite like breaker beach though, or going down those huge slides. Bring the sunblock and have fun!

Paradise Island has so many fun things to do. Miniature Golf, go carts, arcade ...You do have to pay for parking, and it can get crowded, but it is a lot of fun. Prices are reasonable too. I would recommend going earlier in the day to avoid the crowds. During the summer you can usually get a good deal on Waterworld/Paradise Island combo passes.

This is our favorite place for minature golf. The prices are reasonable and the courses are fun. The staff is friendly and doesn't blink an eye when we have to go in 10 times because our 5 year old knocks all of her balls into the ponds! They also have an arcade with a good selection of games. Fun for the whole family!

I have fond memories of going to Scandia as a preteen and teen, and I love taking my kids there too. For family things, I think it's better to go during the day if possible. It can get crowded at night. The games are fun and they have games for kids of most ages. The food is gross and overpriced, but we go for the games! Miniature golf is always fun too!

They don't seem to have sales that often, but you can sometimes get good deals on clearance items. It does seem to be geared more towards younger women/girls.

Which is good, it keeps the junk to a minimum. Expect to pay more than the typical thrift store, but the quality of the items is so much better. The staff is pretty friendly and parking is usually good.
