The crowd is mainly regulars during the week with a decent singles scene on the weekends which some of us appreciate. Fridays and Saturdays also feature great live bands and dancing if that's your bag.
I love a great game of pool and the 50c table is active and the regulars can shoot so bring your A-game.
If you stop in, look for me (minus afro) around the pool table.
Cheers,
Rahul
PS: They have food too...

Zoe's is a great downtown restaurant. The space is elegant and upscale but still feels casual and down-to-earth and the new American fare is terrific. I had a seared foie appetizer and steak for my main course and both were tremendous.
As someone who moved here from NYC, Zoe stands up to anything in that dining mecca.
I'm not sure if it's the quintessential Seattle dining experience, but it's a great meal out.
Enjoy.

They've got a good pool table and bartenders pour a good stiff drink.
Good social crowd. I'll be back there soon.

Hi there,
I went to Vegas for my birthday a few years ago and we booked a block of rooms at The Hotel at Mandalay. This is a standalone luxury hotel which has no casino in it.
Rooms are huge with a living room with flat screen TV and a separate bedroom. The cost was about $300/night, but we split that 4 ways.
I'd highly recommend this if your budget permits.
Another great option is the Luxor. Decent price/value balance and easy access to everywhere else.
I've also enjoyed the Mirage.
Cheers,
Rahul
PS: Looks like I may have spent too much time in Vegas...

Went there after dinner at the Triangle with a couple of friends and had a great time. The pool tables are in good shape and the mood there is laid back and devoid of attitude.
The ladies behind the bar were cool and sweet and poured great drinks.
Jameson's rocks, and kicking your friend's arse at pool. Sometimes the simple things are the best.
Enjoy.

Sonia & Maria who run the center are fantastic. They will inform you of how much you have left to learn in the sweetest way possible.
The focus is on conversational Spanish and classes are a blast. We would bring in Riojas and imbibe some Spanish culture while we learned the language.
Anna-Maria, our teacher, was awesome and my fellow students became great friends.
Highly recommended. Tell them I sent you.

Magnolia Bakery in the West Village is a little slice of heaven (pardon the pun) in the heart of Manhattan.
Cupcakes are amazing - they have a limit of a dozen per customer otherwise they sell out too quickly. This may sound weird but you have to try the banana cream pudding. It doesn't sound all that exciting, but believe me, this is worth trying.
The only downside here is that lines can be long, but they do move quickly.
Enjoy and let me know what you thought.

Really enjoyed meeting a new acquaintance for a bite to eat and a chat at Serafina yesterday evening. The weather was perfect and a great glass of rosé started the evening off perfectly.
We opened with crostini and anchovies. Both dishes were delicious. The anchovies in particular were excellent. Orchietti with wild boar had great promise but wasn't quite right. It tasted a little lighter than expected but that may have been what they were going for. We also had fried pork belly (think hunks of bacon) on a watermelon, mint, goat-cheese salad. Terrific. Mini-donuts and coffee-cardomom ice cream wrapped up a great meal.
Our waiter was knowledgable and friendly and definitely knew his way around the wine list.
