Caliria realty is run by a coupel people. Phyllis Russel happens to work there and she is worthless. Our last home that we rented was in chula vista. She was personal friends with the owner and lied and did everything to get us to rent the place. My husband is in the military and we didn't appreciate her way of doing business.
Upon leaving she really made it difficult to re-rent the place. I did all the work, I paid for the rental sign for the outside to bring a new tenant in, I did most of the paperwork. She didn't do a thing! We never signed any agreement on how the condition of the home was prior 9she failed to do this) and so later she was complaining that the place was not kept in good shape. Well this was a lie as well.
I would not do business with this woman. She seems very sweet and nice but she is anything but! I really saw her bad side!

Laurie Silverman and Assoc. is an OK speech therapy office that deals with pediatrics and adults who need ST. My son has autism and he was working for 4 months with one of the therapists there. She was untrained in any behavior therapy (that is the gold standard in autism) and she also was unwilling to get trained. She spent the majority of our sessions trying to get my son to remain seated (which is a task alone). He really made very little (if any) progress while there.
I would recommened going to another ST office if your child has autism. once we switched, my son made incredible progess.

He told me I had 10 cavitiies, which he filled. Also told me he did a cleaning (never did). I moved to north county and changed dentists. She told me that I needed a cleaning BAD and this was just 5 weeks after this dentist claimed he did the cleaning.
he also told me I needed a root canal right away. Well, again, I switched to my current dentist and guess what? She completely disagreed.
DO NOT see Dr Robert maroon in chula vista on "H" street. he is worthless and wants your money!

Go to the san diego wild animal park if you're looking for a good time. It is expensive but worth it to take the kids on the train tram ride and see all the wild animals in their natural...
Go to the san diego wild animal park if you're looking for a good time. It is expensive but worth it to take the kids on the train tram ride and see all the wild animals in their natural environments. I highly recommend coming here versus the san diego zoo. It is in north county so someone living in south county, it is a little trip but worth it. Much better than the zoo. Of course the animals they have there are more limited than they have at the zoo but I liked it much better.

I know the san diego zoo is world-renowned but I didn't see it. I am originally from WI, we had a good zoo there and when I moved to san deigo the SD zoo was all the rage. I took my kids there and I was sadly disappointed. The grounds were beautiful but I thought it was hard to get around with 2 kids (hills and things far away like restaurants which were all located in one area). I also thought the exhibits were nothing to talk about. Of course we wanted to see the pandas and they couldn't even be seen.
Coming from the midwest I was willing to pay the outrageous price to be admitted (over $20 per person) just to have a nice zoo experience. I was disappointed at how much I paid and how the zoo itself wasn't worth what I paid to be admitted!
Go to the wild animal park if you want to see animals!

If you're looking for a good OT go to OTetc. My child has autism, he is 2.5 yrs old and has come a far way after working with Jill-his OT there. They are very accomadting to schedules and work great with kids. they have a great OT gym that has all sorts of sensory stuff and gym equipement kids love.
attached to OT etc is also excel speech and PT in motion. Basically you can do all therapies at one location. I cannot personally tell you how their ST is but I have heard rave reviews about the therapists there.

My child has autism and it is always difficult to find a ST that works good with kids who can't always sit still or have other behaviors. Well, Kara dodds is the BEST place to go. My son started at 2 yrs old and was pretty much nonverbal at that time. Well he is now almost 3 and is almost at age level and with receptive language abover age level all because of the great, well-trained therapists that work for kara dodds and associates.
I highly recommend their office, they also have an office in encinitas. All of their therapists are highly skilled, work with kids on and off the spectrum and have amazing results.

Dr Olaes is AWESOME! She is gentle and very knowledgable of dentistry. I went to her when I had problems with my wisdom teeth. She was honest in telling me what I needed done and what could wait so that I didn't spend a ton of money all in one visit (I was concerned financially how expensive dentist bills can run). Not only did she clean my teeth better than any other dentist had ever cleaned them EVER (I am 30) but she called me a day or two later to make sure everything was OK (that I was in no pain etc).
Her office staff is great as well, very friendly and helpful. I normally hate the dentist but heck, I am not scared for my next cleaning and actually am happy to have the time away (from the kids! LOL). who can say that about their dentist??
Highly recommended!
