This is a great place to take kids on those dreary and cold monterey days. It is a kids museum which has many exhibits, art, fun, exploration etc. for toddlers to school age kids.
They charge a fair rate for admission in my opinion and it really is worth the trip on the bad weather days, keep in mind though this is also their busiest time and they also get plenty of kids on field trips as well if you go during the week.
highly recommended though, kids have fun and aren't bored there when the fog rolls in.

For the price this zoo is awesome. My toddler loved it, they have easily accessable walking paths, the train is fun and most of all--it is CHEAP. At least for CA standards they are. I am from WI but...

I am from WI but live in CA and the famous san dieog zoo is $20+ for admission. I frianky think the milwaukee zoo is FAR better, both exhibit wise and for the best bang for your buck--milwaukee has it hands down.
parking can get more expensive in milwaukee but it is worth it for a fun day at the zoo with the kids.
Park on the street outside the zoo (wisconsin ave.) for free parking. It is what we did.

I enjoy a good time, drinking a beer here and there and enjoying music but this is just full of drunken hicks lately. Either that or young teenie boppers looking for "fun". It just wasn't my style and the price to get inside is getting more and more every year.
The do have a few great band playing every year, they need a few good ones to pull in revenue though because otherwise I am not sure how they get money to continue this sha-bang year after year.
BoDeans are always a good show, but I skip summerfest completely and go straight for the concert istelf.

This is one of the tourist traps on milwaukee. I was not too impressed when I went here on a recent visit. It was nice that they have these three domes especially in winter but there isn't that much to see or do there.
We basically just took pictures of the plant life but other than that, boring. My child enjoyed see the plants and running around though he can do that outside for free.
It would be low on my recommendation list for anyone visiting milwaukee.
There are alot of other options out there.

The place is just beautiful and the grounds are amazing. They have knowledgable staff who work with you and cater to your needs and wants. they really make the effort to make sure your event runs smoothly and just the way you want it to.
I highly recommend them. I will never forget our reception because the location of the WI club, and the room, the decor or the place--it all tied into what we wanted and it was just beautiful!

They offer beautiful designs and really cater to their customer. their customer service is outstanding.
I would highly recommend going to their bakery or ordering your wedding cake from them. I promise you will not be sorry. I think of everything I had the most comments about my wedding cake than anything else at my wedding!

It gives the baseball fan the feeling of old world baseball while still experiencing the modern amenities that we expect these days, however the location wasn't that ideal. it would've been nicer to be downtown and close to other places to see after or before a game.
The retractable roof is great, especially in the cold milwaukee summer/fall.
I enjoyed our time there, enjoed the weiner races too :)

cannery row is a nice place to visit once maybe. I was not impressed with it though. they offer many touristy shops (tshirts, art,candy, restruants) but it is ONLY for tourists and it gets jam packed on weekends or nice days on the peninsula.
Parking can be a bear on weekends and their stores are expensive. I used to live in the area and I would recommend going to see it (because it is famous) but not to spend the day on the row. There just isn't that much to do there.

Dr pamenter is probbaly the BEST DDS I have ever been to. I have been all over the US (my husband is military) and he far outranks any dentist ever.
he is straightforward, trustworthy and really cares about his patients and their needs. he accomaates them and makes an effort to listen and work around issues (financial and otherwise).
I ighly recommend him. I know his practice is filled though since he is so great but try to get in to see him. he's great!
