This is a nice farm for purchasing your christmas tree..but we recently did a birthday party here and please save your money and don't bother. The staff is sooo inexperienced when it comes to this type of thing...basically they will point you in the direction of your picnic table..brind you some cold popcorn and juice boxes and say Have fun....not worth your time and it's almost embarassing when the guests arrive and they're probably thinking....why on earth did you pcik this place to have your party. Hayride is fun..but that's only 20 minutes long ..not to mention they drive your little ones through a path of scary looking cutouts ...so much for a wholesome theme...they don't offer you a animal petting zoo experience (which their website states) and you do not leave with an apple..again as their website states..you don't even see an apple. Just a really young group of unprofessional and inexeperienced people that claim to do birthday parties...get your tree here at Christmas but that's where your relationship with this place should end.

We use this florist a lot and if i just call them and ask them to put together a nice arrangment with a specific flower, they gladly listen and I'm told the flowers always arrive very nicely done. I do think they take a bit longer when I ask to have them delivered within a specific time frame and it seems to be an hour or to later (from that time frame) but when they do arrive..the person receiving them is pleased and that's the most important factor. I usually give them a dollar limit and they come up with a nice arrangement and a ballon or something if I ask them to throw it in.

I really like the fact that a hardware store still exists and hasn't been pushed away by the big guns of Lowes and Home Depot. We like this hardware store..although much pricier than your big home improvement stores..you can find Benjamin Moore paint here and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Will assist you with larger items to your car. Parking is tight and not much of it, but I like the hometown feel of this hardware store and it's very convenient for us.

We've been using this company for about a year now. The salesman was persistant and persistance pays because he gained a new client and we were locked in at a great rate. They are reliable and make automatic deliverys (obviously more frequently in the winter). We haven't really had a problem - although we had to send them a copy of our original service contract to remind them that we were locked in at a specific rate (they attempted to bill us at a much higher rate) but that was fixed and we've had no problems since. Will continue to do business with them - as long as we are locked in again at a nice rate.

We really like to go to this restaurant for dinner (although I've gone many times for lunch too). It has a very cozy and warm atmosphere that immediately relaxes you . The entree's are really delicious and the desserts are to die for. Service is good (sometimes a little slow) and we rarely have a wait. We've never had to make reservations (except for a large party of people and then they'll sit you in the back room where it's much more private). I love their crab cakes and their salads are really yummy and quite gourmet. I find their prices to be average - not cheap, but not that pricey either. It's hidden in the corner of a shopping plaza in Shelton and parking is awful because although there is a huge parking lot..it's shared with many other stores (including a grocery store), but when you do find a space closeby..the food will make you forget all about that.

I've been told that Dr. Brown has retired and it was definitely time. He was not a dog person (can you believe a vet is not a dog person) and was always annoyed with my dog when I brought him in. If I took my cat to see him..that was a different story..he loved cats. The last straw happened when my 8 year old cat was sick to I took him to this vet and they ended up keeping him for tests for two days. He came home sicker then when he went in..he was lethargic...walking into things (I really feel they tranquilized him..although they claimed they didn't) and he was just a mess..it was obvious he wasn't allowed to use the litter box and they never cleaned him up before I got him. What a mess. I would avoid this place at any cost and find a more professional environment for your pet. I'm hoping that Dr. Brown has retired and Dr. Reid has made some serious changes with this facility - but I'm not taking any chances and I'm definitely not willing to try them out again.

I took my dog here and we were one of the unlucky ones to see a vet that lacked in any form of compassion and didn't even listen when I spoke..she was abrasive with me and not gentle with my dog.. She took a muzzle out the moment we walked into the room (a 7 lb yorkie that had never bitten anyone) before she even looked at him and then commanded me to put him on the floor so she could see him walk...she was just nasty. I wrote a letter complaining and never even heard back from them. Their prices were through the roof expensive and I really have no idea what I paid for..it wasn't compassion that's for sure.

If you're looking for great ice cream (Homemade) during those hot summer days..this is the place to go. They are opened seasonally and trust me..it's worth the wait. The hot fudge tastes so good on their sundaes and the ice cream is super rich and creamy. You're going to pay a little more, but it's totally worth it. They are located on a working farm so you can step in and see the cows in the barn with your kids (or view them in the field). They have a cute set up with picnic tables to sit and relax. Long lines, but they staff a few people so the lines go pretty quickly. We really love this place and highly recommend taking a ride to try it out.

We often drive by this little walk up ice cream stand and see long lines on hot summer days. We finally made a stop to see what the fuss was about...trust me, there's no fuss. It's convenient that's about it. They are really pricey for such a small little shop and the people working behind the counter were abrupt and rude. I don't think it's worth it to spend 10 minutes waiting in line during the summer only to have mediocre ice cream served without a smile...skip this place and travel a little further west and go to Ajello's farm on Route 67 in Oxford. Home Made Ice cream, same prices, much nicer to you there.
