What can I say about Central Pharmacy but it is like a piece of memorabilia in my mind. I was born and raised in the Central area and the pharmacy was a staple of our lives. The pharmacist knew you by name, the cashiers knew you by name, the pharmacy is like stepping back in time.

Every time that we make our yearly trip back home to Elizabeth, one of the meals that we must have during the week is pizza and/or hoagies from Central Pizza. Even our kids who were born and being raised in the south cannot wait to come to Elizabeth for Central Pizza.

2 of my kids now attend Pelham HS. I will tell you that a couple of years ago they went to school in the Hoover school system and they like Pelham MUCH better. They have many more friends in Pelham, they may not have all of the fancy stuff that they had in Hoover but the teachers are great, the learning is good and the rules are fair for everyone.
I am definitely pleased with the Pelham School System.

I have used this vet office several times in my recent past. I like the staff here, love that the clinic is open early in the morning and open until like 9 pm but I think the prices are a bit high....

I grew up in The Burgh so...it is pretty much a staple for someone to ride on one of the fleet at some point in their lives. I have been to several functions on the gateway clipper boats and never been disappointed.

We have been taking our vehicles to a place on the other side of Birmingham but since we moved to Pelham, we thought it would be best to get an auto repair shop on this side of town for convenience....
We have been taking our vehicles to a place on the other side of Birmingham but since we moved to Pelham, we thought it would be best to get an auto repair shop on this side of town for convenience. We had been told of Faulkner Automotive by another garage in town that was too busy to handle our repair for that day. We have used Faulkner for all three of our cars in the last year and so far, all has been very successful. The people at the shop seem to be very reliable and honest. I know that they are very busy and do your repairs in a timely manner.
So far, we are very pleased.

If you are near the Galleria and need a more expensive type restaurant to eat at: Go to J. Alexanders. At this place you can get very yummy food but it is a better type place with higher priced...

If you have any room for dessert or want to take it "to go" ......you gotta get the Carrot Cake. I am not a big carrot cake person but this is SOOOOO worth the money. You get a HUGE square of cake with cream cheese icing.

I just don't care for Olive Garden except for their breadsticks and salad.
I have had to go here with groups of people and have been outnumbered on my vote so I eat a Sampler Platter / Breadsticks...

Their pasta sauce is just not as good as almost any italian restaurant that you can eat at anywhere.
Their sauces taste more like canned than anything fresh I have ever tasted.
