I have been using First National of Shelby County bank for 18 years now and had loved it until recently. M&F bank recently purchased FN of Shelby County and I no longer like this bank. For 18 years I had used 2 of the many branches to do all of my banking and the tellers knew their customers and were friendly and all was well. M & F bought the branches and got all new tellers and banker people. Now when you go to the drive through, it takes a minimum of 6 minutes for you to get your money even if you are the only customer in the drive through. They do not keep cash at the drive thru window so they have to take the check and walk to the other side of the windows and look up your file and so on and so on. They do not know us anymore, they also treat every customer like they are a criminal or something the way that they stare at your license and compare the photo to you...
It is so very annoying, takes along time, makes me feel bad. I am going to change banks real soon.
It is just too bad that with all of the banking takeovers these days, you can not count on a smaller bank to treat you any better.
