Vintage clothes are the main stock of Jet Rag in Los Angeles. Great old concert shirts, interesting t-shirts, western button front shirts, and tons of others cool second hand clothes. The store is huge and has a huge selection to search through. Best of all though would be Jet Rag's organization. Clothes are neatly and clearly divided by type. Specific types of sweaters are divided and displayed together. Hooded sweatshirts are separate from sweatshirts and sweaters without hoods. And each display is nicely divided by color. When searching for a specific shirt by color or type, Jet Rag makes it easy. The store is located on North La Brea Avenue allowing some great walking to other nearby stores - Buffalo Exchange, great photography galleries, and Pink's Hot Dogs. Jet Rag is a really fun place to shop. They even used to have one dollar Sundays. Piles of clothes would be put onto the lot in front of the store. Everything and anything out there was priced at just one dollar! Jet Rag can be a really fun shopping experience.

Nothing may be greater than finding a hard to find, practically one of a kind piece of apparel. Well, Buffalo Exchange on La Brea Ave. makes this easier. They buy and sell second-hand clothes. Some great out of date concert t-shirts are included in the mix. Some neat colorful shirts, vintage clothing, etc. Prices are pretty good. It really depends on what they have coming in to the store. However, shopping there can make a nice time out, seeing that it takes time to look through all the clothes to find something great and there is just so much from which to choose. The store is nicely located on North La Brea Avenue; surrounding businesses include some other great second-hand and vintage stores (such as Jet Rag), photography galleries across the street, vintage furniture stores, and best of all - Pink's Hot Dogs. It is a great place to walk around.

The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens are simply beautiful. The library hosts many important artifacts from history. Included is an original Guttenburg bible. But above all, the Huntington Library offers an incredible Botanical Gardens. Gardens and vegetation from around the world cover the large area. An Austrailian section details the dry desert gardens. The Japanese Garden is simply unbelievable. A peaceful pebble garden rests next to a wonderful collection of bonsai trees. The Huntington Library is a great day trip for a wonderful walk.

Sante Fe is a wonderful "hole in the wall" restaurant. Located down Las Virgenes Road in Calabasas in an obscure strip mall, many would probably pass by the Sante Fe Cafe unknowingly. However, it is worth the stop. The Santa Fe Cafe has awesome burritos and quesadillas. Also, the staff are often very friendly and helpful. There is a nice selection of various fresh salsas, pickles, and other toppings. The fajita burrito is great. Also, try the chicken quesadilla with guacamole. Sante Fe Cafe is a nice change of pace from chain Mexican restaurants. It is a small, private cafe with delicious Mexican food.

Poor service and poor food quality. Red Robin Restaurant in Calabasas, CA does not offer any great food at any great prices. Instead, poor to average sandwiches are offered at mediocre prices. Also, from the several times I have been there, the service has been poor to awful. Orders are mixed up, slow, and problems. The Red Robin Restaurant is located nearby the Calabasas Commons which is nice, however, its location is not worth it all. There are plenty of fine restaurants also close to the Calabasas Commons if not inside the Commons. Red Robin is a lesser class version of an IHOP for hamburgers and various sandwiches. Yes, if that version could exist, it is Red Robin Restaurant.

For local suburb theatres, the Edwards in Calabasas is a great place for a movie. It offers great stadium seating, various screens with different types of movies, great sounds, great picture quality. The theatre does have advertisements still. This is a big hassel for those who are anxious to get directly to the movie. A typical screening will hold several trailers as well as several commercials. The theatre is also located in the Calabasas Commons which is a great place to spend a night out. It has restaurants of various scale and price, a big Barnes and Noble book store, and other stores. There is also plenty of outdoor seating on benches and tables. The theatree is pretty clean and, again, does have good picture and sound quality. Also stadium seating is great to have. Ticket prices are expensive, however, they are no different than the average price of other theatres - about ten dollars. For a nice movie, go to the Calabasas Regal Movie Theatres.

Eurochow occupies a beautiful location standing on Westwood Boulevard like a towering island. Inside and out, it is quite beautiful. There is a wonderful second story of seating with a great bridge hanging over the ground level. The food is delicious. They have an amazing filet mignon. An unbelievably incredibly prawns and walnuts dish. Some amazing salads and asian cuisene. The restaurant is a nice juxtaposition of multiple international cuisenes. Prices are extremely expensive. However, for an extremely upscale night out, Eurochow is a great place to stop. It is in the heart of Westwood, providing an entertaining walk around the village for entertainment. Also, there is the nearby Hammer Museum, Geffen Playhouse, as well as UCLA's Royce Hall. The food is unbelievable.

The Westwood Farmer's Market offers some great fresh produce - some of which is at great discounted prices. Not all the food is organic, however, plenty is. Also, there is much more than just great produce. There are plenty of great prepared dishes from various international regions. Asian and South American food are someo of the highlights. Most of the people working the Westwood Farmer's Market are extremely helpful and friendly. You are often able and encouraged to sample the various produce. I believe the Westwood Farmer's Market lasts from about one o'clock in the afternoon until sundown. That is plenty of time to set aside and schedule a visit. In season produce is of course a plus. Not only is produce in season at the peak of taste, it is also at some of the best prices around town. If you question it, there is a Ralphs directly adjacent to the Westwood Farmer's Market. Go in and compare price of in season produce. The Farmer's Market is a nice afternoon experience with great food.

Overall, Jack's Deli is an overall pretty good local deli. It has good selection, some nice rarities, and of course, plenty of pickles and mustards. Prices run a little more expensive, but nothing outrageous. Also, the restaurant itself is nice, cool in temperature, and also very comfortable. But above all, Jack's Deli offers great sandwiches. And some pretty great rare ones. Not many places offer buffalo burgers or ostrich burgers. Both are at Jack's Deli. And both are delicious. The buffalo burger is definately the best; however, if you wanted a leaner selection, choose an ostrich burger instead of chicken or a turkey burger next time. It is pretty lean and is a nice change. Standards such as pastrami and always great at Jack's Deli. The sides are offered a great too. The french fries and cole slaw make great sides to any of their big deli sandwiches. Also, Jack's Deli is nicely located pretty close to the Westlake Promenade, which offers several shops and an eight screen movie theatre. Jack's Deli is a nice choice for a deli meal.
