This is a great nursery located in Highlands Ranch. They have a wonderful selection of flowers, bushes, and trees. The prices are more expensive than what you would find at a larger home improvement store, but the selection and quality of their plants is unbeatable. Also, the size of the plants is much larger than I’ve found at other local nurseries. The staff can sometimes be difficult to locate, but once you find someone to talk to, they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Magnolia is a beautiful hotel located in downtown Denver. The rooms, while very small, are nicely decorated and clean. The staff is very friendly – and the people at the front desk were very helpful with dinner recommendations. They also offer a complimentary shoe shine service and have a decent happy hour in the hotel bar. I would stay at that Magnolia again.

While shopping for a pub table, I ventured into Wagner’s on Broadway just north of Hampden. When I enter any store, I appreciate being greeted. When I walked into Wagner’s, I was mobbed. The sales guy would not leave me alone. He was asking me specific questions about exactly what I wanted - I just wanted to walk around and browse their selection and see if anything caught my eye. They do have a great selection – but I did not want to buy anything there because of how pushy the sales staff seemed.

For how pricey the Brown Palace Hotel is, they do not do a lot to ensure that their guests are satisfied. During a recent stay, I was awoken numbers times by a prom party in the room next door. I complained several times to the front desk – who did little to keep the room next door quiet. After my stay, I wrote a letter to the hotel, and never heard an apology from them.
The also offer a traditional afternoon tea, which is a fun experience but, overpriced.
Although the hotel itself is beautiful, I would not recommend staying at the Brown Palace Hotel.

I found Arapahoe Acres Nursery to have a large selection of flowers, bushes and trees. They have quality plants, but their prices are quite a bit higher than other local nurseries. If you are looking for a specialty plant, I would check them out, but be prepared to pay a bit more for what you are looking for. If you are looking for something more common, I would recommend checking with other local nurseries and the nurseries at some of the larger home improvement stores.
The do have good prices on paving stones if you are looking to create a walkway in your yard.

If you need rocks, dirt, or mulch for landscaping projects this spring and summer, I would recommend you visit Santa Fe Sand and Gravel. I found their prices to be much better than other local rock suppliers. Their delivery charge was also more reasonable. They also sell landscaping fabric by the yard, which is perfect if you are working on a small area and don’t want to invest in a large roll. They have coupons on their website.

With the ever rising price of movies, Elvis Cinemas is a great find. They show recent movies (not the brand new releases, but ones that have been in the theaters for a little while) at a wonderful price. Their concession stand is also fully stocked and you will find that it is also much more reasonably priced than at a regular movie theater. The screens are smaller and the chairs are a little more uncomfortable than at the more modern theaters, but still very well worth the money.
