I have been to Sugar House Day Spa for hair services twice. The first time I had a cut and color job done and the stylist did a fantastic job. She was extremely careful and ensured she knew what my wishes were before she even began. The second time I went I had an up-do done for a wedding I was in. This stylist was also careful and when I wanted some subtle changes, she happily complied. They are a little expensive, but definitely worth it.

Connell's Valet offers reasonably priced dry cleaning. They are really good at either removing stains or letting you know upfront that there may be an issue with removal of the stains. If you're not in a hurry for your wedding gown preservation, they offer the best priced preservation services in the area. (To preserve, box, and seal my wedding gown it was $80.00).

I highly recommend Elan Artists Musicians and Bands. My brother used them at his wedding and everyone raved about the music. They have a variety of different bands to choose from and each one seemed impressive. The staff was really helpful in guiding my brother towards the right choice for him. The band itself was reliable and fully met its contractual obligations. Breaks were kept to a minimum and they played music the entire time we had requested. They are pricey but no more than other live bands are in the area.

This wedding dress shop has a lot of styles of wedding dresses that are some of the most reasonably priced in the area. The staff is pretty laid back and allows you to take your time looking in the shop and trying a variety of dresses on. Unlike other bridal shops that make you feel obligated to buy something or else tell you everything looks great on you, the staff at Gossypia was really honest with me about what worked and what didn't work.

I helped my best friend's boyfriend purchase her engagement ring from Jared's. The customer service was excellent. They took the time to explain what we should be looking for in a good diamond. They also said they would ensure that the ring was set in an antique setting that my friend's boyfriend had from his grandmother within a day. The employee we worked with did not make us feel rushed in anyway and patiently allowed us to look at different diamonds. They also do an excellent job of cleaning rings while you wait for them.

My mother used this company to alter her dresses for my wedding, for the rehearsal dinner and second wedding reception for out of town. We were extremely impressed. They took great care with the fine materials of the dresses and did not make us feel bothersome when we asked that small issues be modified so that the dresses fit better. They accommodated as many fittings as we wished to have. When we picked the items up they were in perfect condition. Their prices are far more reasonable than most salons in the area offer.

The owner met with me beforehand and spoke to me numerous times to ascertain what was important to me, what tasks I wanted to put on her shoulders, and what my timeline was for my wedding. The coordinator did everything that I asked her to, even when it was a small seemingly menial task. I didn't even realize there were snags that occurred that day because the coordinator handled them without issue. She offers great recommendations of vendors and suggested modifications to my ideas. I highly recommend her. The cost is extremely reasonable and as a resource, the owner was invaluable.

We used Celebrations Catering & Special Events to cater a 90th birthday party for my grandmother. The employee I worked with offered some great suggestions after first inquiring about the types of people who would be attending the party. They allowed us to keep the leftovers, provided us with a hard-working and efficient staff to serve the food. Everything tasted great. We interviewed several caterers before selecting this one because their prices were so reasonable.

I was the maid of honor in a wedding where Ridgewell's Caterers catered the event. They offered two different tastings, which provided very generous samplings of numerous types of foods. Both tastings were free (and were done in groups so it is easy to sign up for the next tasting). All of the food was stylishly presented and everything looked appetizing and tasted great. The staff really worked with the bride to make sure that her special requests were met. Everything was served at the right temperature and there wasn't one dish that people didn't like. They are average priced for the area.

Fairfax Dry Cleaning does a very good job of dry cleaning items. Although the employees are friendly, many of them are very difficult to understand. Also, to clean special items (like suede) it is very expensive compared to other dry cleaners in the area. They are very qualified at getting stains out and the items are always ready within the quoted time frame.
