Strange but true: my trip to the dentist was actually fun! Dr. Winston seems far more thorough than any other dentist I have had, plus she is so gentle and kind. She actually explains what she is doing as she works and makes you feel as comfortable as possible. Her assistant was great too. I left my previous dentist because I felt like I was just "a number" and I always had to wait at least 45 minutes just to get into the chair; this experience was totally different. The office is low-key, so friendly, and, if you are in NE Seattle, it's so convenient.

My husband and I both go to Dr. Sonia Krejci (pronounced CRAY-chi) and we love her. The office is classy and friendly, and she has a gentle touch and is both careful and intelligent. She's great!

I finally discovered All for Kids when my youngest turned two. That was two years too late. I love the wise and friendly staff, and I do all my b-day present shopping there. And, who can argue with supporting an indie book seller? They have AWESOME suggestions if you aren't sure what to buy.

Yummy salads, and the pizzas seem fresh and even somewhat healthy. PLenty of food and reasonable prices. Take a date (if you don't mind kids running around!) or if you are past the dating scene and have some wee ones, for sure, take the family!

My three-year-old saw Dr. Way and had a fabulous experience. The waiting room was super kid-friendly, and the toys were clean and not icky like they are in some waiting rooms. The receptionist was fantastic, the hygenist so friendly and great with kids, and Dr. Way had a really soft touch with my son. I expected tears and a complete freakout, but since it's like Funland in there, it was a totally positive experience. My one-year-old was angry that SHE didn't get a turn in the magic chair.

These guys are great. They have a ton of integrity and are nice guys. They put on our new roof in the fall, and when I had water in my attic this month, they came right out the same morning I called. It turned out to be a window leak, but they fixed it anyway. . . they certainly could have made me call the window guy instead. I think they are great, and their price seemed fair, right in the middle of three bids.

These guys were great--so professional and classy. We had a leak (after they had done our roof just six months earlier) so I was concerned. But they came out the same day, and when they found it was actually a problem with a window casing, they fixed it anyway--even though it wasn't their fault at all! These are guys I don't mind having in my house (on on it). Check them out. Reasonable prices too.

Casa D'Italia reminds me of all the great Italian restaurants I miss from my days in Chicago. It's charming, rustic, and so delicious. The specials are unique and fresh, and the atmosphere is so quaint. Romantic without being the least bit pretentious. I'd driven by it a million times, and now I can kick myself for not trying it sooner. Give it a shot. It's cozy in the winter, and in the summer, there's a great back patio.
