I was so disappointed that when this place opened I thought it would be like it's sister stores South of here. I love the Capitol Hill store and Belltown as well. But no way! This is more like a Winchell's with lots of kids in line just to get doughnuts. If school is in session you're in luck. The store lacks the warmth of the other stores. Even in the section where the book shelves are located, it doesn't provide for a cozy atmosphere. The coffee was good but I haven't been back.

Cloud City can be an excellent experience. It can be cozy, the staff are friendly, and there are usually samples of the pastries. However, what can diminish your experience is if there are little kids running around, which happens once in a while. There are "toys" available for kids and some parents refuse to deal with the noisy behavior of their kids in a coffee shop where most of us don't want to hear kids. So I avoid early Saturday and Sunday mornings. In late afternoon the place is great.
