I have frequented Pasta Jay's in Boulder and Moab as long as the two restaurants have existed. My experience with Pasta Jays in the early '90's became so marginal that it took me two years before I would try Jay's again, once I returned to Boulder. Fortunately for Jay's, I tried the Moab restaurant a couple of years ago and was pleasantly surprised. The marginal food, service and generally poor value were long gone.
The great experience in Moab eventually led me to agree to eat at the Boulder restaurant again (after a 14 year probation). We had a great experience. The food was fantastic, the wine (by the glass) offerings had improved and the value felt fine. The service was better, but only acceptable.
