My Favorite Place to Go With Baby

Monday, June 20, 2005
I have been to several Cheesecake Factories in several cities - and I love it every time. We go to the Cheesecake Factory in Seattle quite a bit with our baby and always have a great experience. After we are seated, they always bring out a "baby plate" for our daughter that has sliced bananas and small pieces of bread on it. They say it is their standard practice to bring that to all tables with babies. I think that is a very nice touch. The staff is also very friendly and great with our baby - making her laugh and making sure she has everything she needs. There is also so much to look at in there - it keeps our baby busy. It is also just loud enough that if she starts crying, the background noise drowns her out so no one can really hear. Besides the fact that it is good place to go with baby - my husband and I love the food. For those of you who have been there before, you know the menu is literally so big - it is a book. The food is delicious and they give you huge portions. My advice - eat half your meal to save room for the amazing desserts - and take the other half of your food home for later. One word of caution - if you are going with baby, go at off-peak times for best experience. The Cheesecake Factory does not take reservations and often times the wait is over an hour - not good for baby. Going for lunch after 1:30pm, and an early dinner on the weekend (5:00ish) will guarantee less of a wait if any and more attention from the server for you and your baby.
