My favorite thing about France 44 is the ability to buy Celeste Chocolat Truffles! If you've never tasted Mary Leonard's truffles, you absolutely must put it on your to-do list to go out and buy today and savor the flavor. They are pricey, but the flavor is worth every penny.
France 44 is also a great location for wonderful wines and cheeses. They are sooooooo helpful when trying to pick out the perfect hostess gift, perfect wine to go with certain food choice.
France 44 is new, clean, pretty, and a nice choice if you need to pick up something special and/or if you want to treat yourself to the perfect little something!

Their Asian/coconut/butter sauce comes with rice rather than the traditional bread for dipping. You get a very generous portion to share. I often times order it to go and use it as a side dish with the rice at my own parties.
Other all time favorites at Chino - the community table for hosting parties - PooPoo Platers (yes folks, there really is such a thing as a PooPoo Plater - it is an assortment of yummy appetizers on a lazy susan with fire coming out of the middle for roasting pineapple). I also love their Smore platter.
Late night people watching and mingling is at it's best at Chino!

Lucia's keeps expanding on their little block. From the restaurant to the wine bar, now a cozy wonderful cafe. I enjoy them all. Most recently stumbled onto the cafe on a Sunday afternoon. What a cozy spot for wonderfully healthy soup, polenta and other warm foods.
Sit back, play cards, read the paper, sit at the community table and meet new friends. The servers were very helpful and excited about their menu and wine choices. We indulged ourselves all afternoon - grazing on the food, enjoying tea and wine and playing cribbage. The table to our right looked like students studying and reading the Sunday paper.
Lucia really has a corner on their corner in uptown. They have an option for any mood you might be in - LOVE IT!

Yangtze has become my favorite "take-out" restaurant. You might need a little practice the first time you try to find the place, but the food and sweet service is worth the little treasure hunt. After finding the place, you will feel it is quite convenient.
If you've never tried Dim Sum - this is the perfect restaurant to venture out a little - they have the normal items, then be a little adventerous and tried the chicken feet - yum!
Dining in or take out - either way, the food is great and service nice.

You might find creative endeavors happing in this favorite hot spot... an episode of Comedy Central, Trigger Happy TV being shot - without you knowing it, until after someone approaches you asking for your permission to show it on TV... IFP Cinema Lounge... who knows what other spotlight ideas and activities have started in this little dive.
Don't forget about the bowling- what a fun night out in Uptown!

Sports on the TV sets, popcorn just an arms length away, this is a nice, laid back bar. It's nice not having to smell like smoke leaving a place like this anymore! They have sweet outdoor seating in the summer, great bloody mary's, and sufficient service. This is a nice clean dive bar options! Nice local hot spot for laid back beer drinkin fun!

Zelo is one of my all time favorites! If you are looking for a hip place to meet friends and/or a wonderfully romantic cozy place to canoodle, Zelo can provide it all! The food is magnificent - from appetizers to entrées to dessert. The staff is very attentive, and the ambiance wonderful. You feel like you are in a New York hot spot. Outside seating on Nicolette Mall in the summer is superb. Now that there is no smoking in places like Zelo - it is simply perfect!

Kincaid's is the perfect place to meet before a Wild game and commence after to debrief. The bar area sports very comfortable, low comfy chairs and cute little round tables. If you aren't fast enough to snag a table or booth in the bar, you can join the masses at the community tables. People are typically nice about sharing space at this beautiful upscale steak joint. The foot is alway spot on, the staff is very accommodating, and if you are lucky, you might even run into your favorite Wild player.

This is a wonderful new restaurant on the outskirts of downtown Minneapolis. I'm a drink/appetizer girl and this is a wonderful choice. The entire place provides a nice feast for your eyes, not to mention your mouth/stomach. There are wonderfully cozy tables surrounding the bar area to enjoy friends and special times. I've seen all ages enjoying this restaurant - the little ones should avoid the spicy foods though... I'll be back to this wonderful new restaurant/bar many times!

I like JP's Bar area - it reminds me of being in New York. I wish he would bring back his Sunday Brunch...but what he does still have is magnificent. The calamari is the best around. The perfect spot for dinner and drinks before or after a visit to the Jungle Theatre, nice parking option behind the restaurant. I typically go for the soup and yummy appetizers. JP's menu does not disappoint.
