Good Basic Consignment shop 11/28/2005

You won't find any treasures here, but you will find good, basic kid's things. They take a fairly limited range of items clustering around the mainstream in most categories like clothing (kids and moms), shoes, toys, diapers, accessories. The range of books they sell is small- very few, if any, parenting books and very basic kid's books. If you want to find nifty ethnic wear, outre kid's clothes, books that really tickle your funny bone- look elsewhere. If you want to dress your kids in regular clothes, this is a great place to visit first. They generally have a range of maternity clothing and nursingwear- casual stuff, but nothing you would wear to an office. They extended their range into regular women's casual clothing so it's easy to add to your own wardrobe while shopping for kids. They'll hold items 24 hours if you need to get your fussy pre-teen in to try something on, and do accept returns (for store credit, I think.) Items go on sale at the end of the consignment period so you can get some great deals- and as a consignor, you run a better chance of getting to pick up money instead of unsold goods. Donations of unsold items are to the Deacon's Closet so I feel ok about not picking up my leftovers. more
