Our wedding cake was by Morfey's Cake Shoppe. They've been around forever, and specialize in cakes. Only cakes. Their wedding cakes are pretty standard, with a good selection of flavors. The prices are VERY reasonable, and because they have so much experience, they're really easy to work with. I ordered my cake (for 175) less than two weeks before the wedding, and it was not problem.
If you think a wedding is incomplete without a cake, but can't stomach the idea of spending $5 a slice on a cake most people won't eat, Morfey's is a good option.

Brower's fits well into the Fremont niche, providing a beautiful space and lots of beer. The selection of imported beer is immensely impressive. The bar is big, and has a typical Fremont crowd. The beer is expensive, but it's a good place to take guests, as it's got a bit more character than your typical bar.

Prost is a true neighborhood pub on Greenwood Ave. They serve imported German beer, each in its own appropriate glass. It can be smoky, but the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.
