I was a customer of Compass Bank for 9 years and recently my check card number was stolen, even though I still had the card in my possession. I found pending fraudulent charges on my account within 24 hours of the activity and got absolutely no help from anyone at Compass. My account was frozen and every dime I had couldn't be touched. My mortgage, electricity and several other outstanding checks bounced. I wasn't even able to dispute the charges until 4 days later when they finally posted to my account, even though the charges obviously weren't mine...since they were coming from the Philippines. Every employee I talked to gave me a different version of what I needed to do and I never heard the same thing twice. I opened a new account for my direct deposit to be rerouted to, only to have that get lost in Compass Bank Hell. It took 3 days for my paycheck to post to the new account. One employee told me I could withdraw the frozen funds once a dispute had been filed, yet when my husband arrived at the bank to do just that, he was told by the bank employee that was not true. He had to get the branch manager involved, along with the customer service manager, to get part of our own money out of our account. I've since changed to Chase and can't begin to tell you the difference I've seen. If you are currently a Compass Bank customer, my suggestion is that you find another bank immediately. If you are considering Compass Bank, or might consider them in the future, my suggestion is that you stay away from them. They have absolutely the worst fraud protection I have ever seen.

I love sushi and the only reason I don't eat it more often is the expensive price. At first thought, buffet style sushi sounds a little odd and the potential for nasty sushi is definitely a reality. My initial opinion was way off. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable, the service was prompt and friendly, and the buffet was very visually appealing. The cost of lunch was $12.99 for all-you-can-eat and anyone who knows sushi can tell you that is the ultimate bargain. The selection wasn't huge, but there were many more items than I was willing, or able, to eat. The sushi itself was fresh and tasted as it should, and the buffet included many other items rather than just sushi. There is a chef who will cook up anything you select from the bowls of fresh seafood and veggies, and you can order from the menu if the buffet doesn't appeal to you. I left very full and happy to have found a new lunch restaurant to add to my list.
