My opinion 10/14/2005

I have never been to the gold course, so I will not comment on the golf course. I have been to Golf Land's arcade, which is amazing. Golfland is known to have the largest Bemani collection in the valley. There is more than adequate walking room compared to it's competitor Fiddlesticks, and has a larger arcade selction. The castle, where the arcade is located does offer a hot and cold snack bar, and a redemption counter. Their seating area is much larger compared to Fiddlesticks and does have dimmer lights to have an evening after hour effect. I do think however that the prices for the games compared to Fiddlesticks are a little more, for example to play Dance Dance Revolution, the cost is 4 tokens (= $1.00) and is per person, each player pays, while at Fiddlesticks a 2nd person plays for free. King Ben's arcade castle is a great place for teenagers, groups of friends, on a date, and somewhat a good place for families. There are not as many redemption games compared to Fiddlesticks or Gameworks, which younger kids and families seem to gravitate towards. Prizes for the redemption games are of similar quality to pizza centers. Seperate from Golfland's King Ben's Castle (arcade) there is a waterpark called Sunsplash. Sunsplash is a fun filled waterpark for the summer months. Compared to Big Surf in Tempe there are more waterslides, a larger wave pool, and more kid orientated areas, as well as a lazy river. While prices may be high for a one time visit, buying a season pass is WELL worth the money and often has paid for itself after 2.5 visits. Snacks while inside the water park are reasonably priced and worth the money. more
