Out of all the places to have a historical house, this would be the last place. Onderdonk House is flanked by nearly sides by warehouses. It is a strange oasis of green. They are open for tours, I think twice a week. The hold lots of activities, plus an October fest for the huge german population in the area.

About 10 years ago, maybe more, they had an awesome selection of japanese models and toys. As the years have passed, they seemed to have phased those out and they were replace by the fad of the year, pokemon and the like. They always have a good beanie baby selection and they do carry alot of playing cards. Comic books do a steady business and they carry a pretty good selection. They do tend to keep an eye on the younger kids.

I went to one of these years ago in DC, but they say this one is not associated with that store years ago. They have a neat collection of designer home goods and knick knacks that are available in all the interior designer magazines. When I went in, they were selling wood stumps as stools. And they weren't giving them away. Prices run very high for some of the items, but smaller items are reasonable priced.

I took my husband here a few years after I was introduced to it, by a very good friend. His eyes bulged at the size of the burger that was being formed and grilled. Definely a must go to place for those with hearty appetites. Service is excellent and the prices are actually quite good for the amount of meat you get.

This place is a little bit hard to find, but well worth the hunt. I was introduced to this cheesecake by some family members and have to admit it is absolute fabulous. This may become the next cheesecake institution and take a seat next to Junior's. They have some great flavor choices and a small seating area if you want to enjoy your cheesecake, right there.

I love going here for a quick, cheap meal. Selection of noodle dishes is amazing. There is the standard chinese cuisine available, but you're missing out, if you don't do the noodle dishes. A lot of place in Chinatown are kind of dirty and some times, this place can be too. Wait times can vary, but if you don't mind sharing a table, then you can usually have your meal a little bit faster. Prices are really reasonable and portions are just about right.

I love walking through here on the weekend. It can get very crowded, with everyone also walking, plus bikes and just families out and about. There are some great produce stands with the freshest veggies possible. The baked goods are to die for, my personal fave are the scones and ginger cookies. Seasonal beverages are available, cold or hot. The grapple, mixture of apple and grape, is really good. Always a neat selection of other homemade goods, such as soaps, jams and .yarns. If you hit it right, there are wine tastings from local growers

Nothing beats fries fresh out the fryer and these won't disappoint. They have an amazing selection of sauces that you would not believe. This is a little place and you walk right by, if not for the sign on the sidewalk. These are really such a treat and what a great price for what you get. A great snack to walk around in the village and to share with your best friend.

I saw this store in an article about neat things to see in NYC. I love japanimation and all sorts of kid toys, so I had to see. They have since expanded and carry a larger selection of toys that when I first started going a couple years ago. Piece of advice, if you see something you want, buy it. Items just walk of there, after you look at it. Their prices are high for some items and they are really big on vintage toys and signed memorabilia.

For a adult entertainment store, is the last word you would use to describe this place. Located on a relatively quiet place, you would never know what was behind the close door. Selection of adult toys is tastefully displayed. Lots of books are available on variety of subjects. Not really a hardcore type of store, more about the fun and pleasure that couples can have when they introduce a few adult toys into life.
