Are, a man of Russian and Armenian descent, is an expert at his craft. Bring him any shoe related problem (too small? heel broken?) and he will mend it with attention to detail not available anywhere else. Truly a great man. Nothing but the best to say about him! Also, Charles St. is beautiful--bring your shoes to him and then enjoy a stroll through one of Boston's most scenic neighborhoods.

I was very satisfied with my experience here. First of all, they offer a very large selection of frames; ranging from very hard to find vintage frames to new, modern styles. Service was great, the owner and his son were very helpful and friendly. As a plus, they speak Italian--so if you have a relative who only speaks Italian bring them here and it won't be a problem for their next pair of glasses! The glasses were very well made, and very appropriately priced. No complaints here. They also sell contact lenses.

I've been here for a little over a month (I bought the special, 2 months for $30). The staff is also friendly and helpful, and I generally don't have to wait for a bed. They do offer higher end beds for an extra fee, but so far I have just used the standard ones. They are also clean, and work quite well. My complaint is that with the regular beds, there are separate lights for your face, and I don't perceive them as being as strong. To fix this, I just move down the bed so that my face is under the regular lights.
Also, the inside is very nicely decorated and gives a warm, welcoming feeling to customers. Great place.

I have been a member at Mikes for almost a year now, and have to say that I am 100% satisfied. Located next to Brookes and Johnny's Foodmaster near the Fellsway, Mike's Gym offers very new, clean facilities and friendly, helpful staff. What initially interested me was the short committment (1yr) and low monthly fee ($25). The weight training facilities are vast, with all the machines and free wieghts you could imagine. Upstairs is a fully functional cardio room with bikes, treadmills, etc. Downstairs (there are 3 floors) you can find the ab stations and squat setups and other leg machines. Also, it is rare that I have to wait to use the equipment. Highly recommended!

For authentic brick oven pizza, there's no other place to go. Regina has been in business for over 50 years, providing delicious pizza to all. There's not a lot of dining space, and the dining space is simple wooden booths--but the value of Regina's is in the pizza cooked in the famous brick oven. They also offer takeaway pizza-certainly a good idea of the inside is too crowded (there's often a line to enter).

The Cafe Escadrille is the fine dining restaurant that makes you think your in Boston, but when you're really not. The decor is very classy, the service is outstanding, and the menu offers a wide array of cuisine to chose from. All the dishes have that extra special touch that make it worth a trip to the Escadrille. The clam chowder is highly recommended, as well any of their fish items. If you're in the mood for lunch, their cuban panino is sure to please.

I can't say enough good things about Bob's. A steady client for years, I always look to Bob's for Italian cold cuts, cheeses, and other antipasti. They also make sandwiches and subs, pizza, pasta, and other Italian dishes for takeaway. Their homemade pasta is always delicious. Normally I buy their cold cuts (pruschiutto, soprasatta, capicola) to have with some of their cheeses (parmesan, fresh mozzarella) on their fresh bread. You can't go wrong - anything there is good!

Espresso Pizza is one of the few places in the area open late, real late. On the weekends, they're open until at least 1am, and will deliver up until 1am as well. Their subs are a bit pricey, but very tasty. There pizza slice is very economically priced ($1.50/slice), very big, and very good! Great place to go for a quick late night bite with friends.
