I visited The Alternative with high hopes, considering it is located in a relatively affluent community, yet I was very disappointed. The clothing was often outdated and quite worn looking. I did not find any designer labels - in fact, I saw many of the cheaper brands of clothing that can be bought at chain discount stores like Target and Kohl's. I was seeking a place to sell my barely worn, designer clothes and they would have been out of place in this store. The store's hours are often unpredictable, as I stopped by the shop three different times prior and the shop was closed (yet I tried to visit during the store's business hours). Overall, this was a disappointment - I would not shop or sell my clothese here.
