No one wants a root canal. But when I needed an emergency root canal 2 months before my wedding, my dentist sent me to Dr. Chau. I have never been more thankful.
My root canal was needed in one of the support teeth for my bridgework, so it was a touchy procedure for me. I had been taking every pain killer I could for 2 weeks, never realizing what was wrong, and when he finally gave me the first of FOUR novicaine shots I got the first relief since the pain began.
He gave me the medication and time to relax while finishing up with another patient. By the time he came back, I had fallen asleep in the chair. He was very gentle and asked me several times if I could still feel (I'd had 3 shots at that point). When I said I could feel pressure and a bit of stinging he gave me a fourth shot right in the root.
At my checkup, he said it looked fine and that the bridge would continue to hold even after the root canal.
I hated that I needed a root canal, but I am very glad Dr. Chau was the one who did it. I would recommend him to anyone.
