One of my favorite things was the brushetta. It was done as a giant mountain of tomatoes on one thick slice of bread. It was an interesting twist typical of what you might expect here.

Great store for outdoor essentials. It has a great sale section too if you are just browsing. For the non-outdoor enthusiaists, they have a good selection of back to school backpacks, winter coats, and Nalgene bottles. For the more serious, they have overnight packs, and everything you would need for a longer trip. The staff are knowledgable.

Their staff is helpful without being overly aggressive.

This place is very busy, particularly around bakc to school time for the Fenway-based colleges. You can barely move a cart around their ring! If you look in your mail, you can usually get 20% off here or at least $5 off. It has all your essentials and is well located for being in a city. They validate parking here but sill be quick, because rates really increase after the first 30 minutes.

The Coop at Longwood has all your essentials for a new college student or even a bored hospital visitor--a small version of Barnes and Noble, some clothes (both Boston and Harvard Medical School affliated) and downstairs it has some snack type foods and then the textbook section. What you get in convinience, it lacks in affordability. Its way overpriced. For homewares, just make the trip to Bed Bath and Beyond in the Landmark Center and snacks can be more afforabile gotten at the CVS across the street.

I love this store because the clothing is always pretty unique. Most people have a love it or hate it reaction to a lot of the clothing pieces though. Its in a great location in the Back Bay so it's a convinient stop if you're doing shopping at the Prudential Center or Copley. Like the other poster said, the sale area on the top floor is a bit cramped.

This place is always slightly disorganized! The aisles occasionally are impassable because of stacks and stacks of boxes. That said, it is convinient if you are being treated at any of the Longwood hospitals. Also they have a pretty good snack section if you are trying to pick up a quick meal. Make sure your bring your CVS card though because otherwise things can be kind of pricey!

Good equipment here and I've never had a problem with it being too busy or crowded even at peak times. There is complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and lotion in the bathrooms and towel service as well which is all very convinient. The only issue I've had is that some of the other patrons are rather rude, but I' don't know what the club can do about that. There is cable at every cardio station.

This place is always super busy. The subs are good and priced somewhat reasonably--its a chain, so its definitely predictable. However, its one drawback is that it takes forever to get served. Inevitably there are those people ordering ten or more subs at some point in the line and then everyone starts getting crabby. Not the best place but it will do in a pinch with a hungry stomach.

Reliable service at any of their salons across the city can be expected. I didn't have an established stylist so just got the next in line. At first he didn't seem like a typical stylist, but he sure did a *great* job! The only complaint is that they were running a little behind and it was crowded and noisy. Don't go here for an oasis but do check it out for a reliably great cut (at a reasonable price for Boston)!
