This is my favorite place to relax and people watch in the warm weather while sipping a nice cold beer and enjoying a tasty sandwich. The servers are sometimes slow so be patient and dont come when time pressed. Their themed sandwiches, designed by famous chefs, are very good. Decent portions. They have a wide assortment of beers so you are sure to be drinking your favorite here. Ive had my best cole slaw here. Highly recommended.

Don't confuse this store with the usual Thrift Store atmosphere and/or quality. The Closet Upstairs is all vintage. Although little walking space exists amongst the cramped racks of clothes, it is a definite stop for any type of Halloween custom shopping. You can find wigs, boas, poodle skirts, vinyl pants, blue suede shoes, flapper dresses etc.... I've never found anything to add to my every day wardrobe but it has been essential for Halloween. I have seen an occassional tea length dress appropriate for dining out though. Cool little shop with a lot to choose from!
Pros: Eclectic, retro, vintage, can be pricey but some sales exist

I stumbled upon this place while on a mission to resolve my frequent chocolate craving. This place is a gem. It feels like a vintage bakery while inside and the staff are very friendly and warm, in a family like manner. My decision was very difficult to make as there are so many choices of different types of fruits dipped in chocolate (bananas, mangos, the biggest strawberries that I have ever seen - seriously larger than my fist and oh so sweet, and so many more fruits). They have fresh fruit and dried fruit dipped in chocolate (milk, dark, white, you name it), pretzels dipped, candies. So many choices! From the outside, the store doesn't appear the gourmet shop that it is but it's a different story when you walk in.....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

This is a friendly, fun and clean tanning store. They carry any accessory imaginable such as lotion, SPF, eye protection etc They are cutting edge as far as tanning rooms and bulbs. It is very well air conditioned in summer and heated in the winter; conveniently, it is open 7 days a week and you do not need an appointment. Ive just walked in during the winter, feeling blue, and have been taken immediately. Ive never felt sweaty in the booths as they have some sort of high tech cooling system which is nice. It is located on chic Newbury Street therefore it is a bit more expensive than other tanning shops. If you are looking for some color and a cool location, this is the place to go...just bring your charge card. They do tend to run specials which helps alleviate the pricing.

Ive gone here a dozen times for the Mystic Tan and its reasonably priced. The booth appears very clean and organized. The front desk clerks are young, tan and friendly. The location is very convenient as its just off of the Kenmore T stop. They do offer the different shades of the Mystic Tan and they provide instructions on the wall of your changing room. You do have to ask for personal instruction, if this is preferred which I do recommend for your first time. I use the wall instructions as a refresher only. Be sure to exfoliate before going! I highly recommend this place for the Mystic Tan.

This is just a great dentist's office. The front desk staff are very friendly. The dentist's are very professional, courteous and socially comfortable in dealing with patients. This office is associated with Suffolk Dental school therefore, I've found that they share more information with the patients regarding the condition of their teeth. I found this helpful in better caring for my teeth. GREAT PLACE!

This is a full sized Super Stop & Shop, including a Florist and Pharmacy, located on the border of South Boston and Dorchester although it is technically Dorchester. The store itself is relatively clean and always has fresh produce and meats. It always seems to have a supply of organic milk on hand which is nice. This particular location is consistently mobbed with very long lines for check out. Its a bit of a rough crowd at times as Ive witnessed two fights in the parking lot and my car was broken into one evening. It does have a Citizensbank in house as well as an ATM. On Thursday through Saturdays, there tends to be a very long line for the tellers (at least a 45 minute wait). When Ive waited in line, everyone is very friendly in line. This location is conveniently located, right off of I-93, in a shopping center with other leading retail stores.
Pros: Full Stop & Shop, convenient location, abundance of parking
Cons: Usually mobbed during peak hours, can be unsafe at night

This is a small version of the normal Stop & Shops. It is clean and friendly. The parking can be tricky on Saturday mornings but otherwise not too difficult. It is conveniently located by a bank and convenience store but it is difficult to reach if you are T bound although there is a MBTA bus a few stop blocks away. The produce is always fresh as well as the meats. At times, I find that this store runs low on items prior to replenishment which is likely due to the size. It is located in a very safe area of Southie (South Boston).

The Stony Brook Cookie Company's cookies are just amazing. I had received them originally as a gift and the package was beautiful and to my pleasant surprise were the best homemade cookies that I still have ever had. They couldn't have been more fresh (unless they were still warm out of the oven). Subsequently, I order a gift package from them. They were pleasant to deal with, and the package was delivered the same day. Apparently, shipments (baked to order) to areas out of Boston are done the next day but they hand deliver packages within the Boston area. The gourmet cookies came in four different flavors are labeled as of all-natural ingredients. My particular package also included gourmet tea and coffee. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! FIVE STAR!!!

This is quite the positive addition to South Boston (aka Southie). The downstairs is one-half classy sports bar with a Cheers-like environment and the one-half dining. The entire downstairs is covered in side by side plasma tvs, including the bathrooms. You will not miss a play at this place. The environment attracts blue collar workers enjoying a beer and a game just after work as well as professionals winding down for drinks after work. The environment is very friendly and comfortable and all mix well here. You can pull up to the bar, watch the game and chat with the many bartenders or sit at one of the tables amongst the bar area or dining. The food is unbelievably good here and the prices are equally unbelievable given that it is in Boston. They have a wide assortment of Martinis, mixed drinks and beers (bottle and tap). My favorite is the Steak Tips dinner with a well poured Guinness. The service is friendly but a bit slow at times. I dont mind as Im there to enjoy the games and my drink awaiting my tasty food. Upstairs there is a dance club which is also available for private parties. A friend rented the upstairs for a birthday party and was pleased with the ease and attentiveness of the staff. The event well very well. I would highly recommend this place for a night of dancing (more dressy on the weekend nights), game night or just relaxing with friends for a nice dinner. I think that this is the place to be. As far as location, its a 5-10 minute walk from Andrew Square T stop and you can pick up a cab right in Andrew Square after T hours. Or you can drive there and park for free. Just be sure to park your car near a well lit area as Ive seen glass on the curb the next morning which means smashed windows.dont leave anything in your car to entice.
