You will find everything from t-shirts with otter embroideries to nicer and more pricy gifts. They also sell a great variety of jackets! Most people tend to come to Monterey thinking it is warm here... and they end up buying jackets at the wharf!

Monterey Whale Watching has two cruises a day; one in the morning and one in the early afternoon. Their boat is very nice and big (compared to the otehr whale watching boats I saw at the wharf). The cruise takes between 2 and 3 hours. They take out into the bay. They have loud speakers outside and inside. A marine biologist narrates the whole time. It can sometimes be hard to hear because the noise of the engine and the waves cover up the speaker's voice. Then they stop the engine for a while when the boat is in close proximity to the whales. It is a great trip to take when in Monterey.

The cuts are very affordable, but the quality is superior. The owners are very very friendly and super competent and skilled. I had a great experience when I got my hair cut there. I would go back there anytime. For the same price we would pay at cost cutters or great clips, you get to support a local business and get a great quality hair-cut!

The Downtown Physician Group is great. It is right in the middle of downtown Lincoln, but they have their own parking lot, so you don't have to fight for parking or run out every 30 minuted to plug...
The Downtown Physician Group is great. It is right in the middle of downtown Lincoln, but they have their own parking lot, so you don't have to fight for parking or run out every 30 minuted to plug your meter. There are several physicians that work there, which make it very easy to get an appointment fast. The nurses, doctors and the rest of the staff are very nice and patient.

The Nebraska Bookstore is located on the edge of the UNL city campus and in downtown Lincoln. They have a great selection of newspapers and magazins. They sell all the textbooks (and buy them back at the end of each semester) UNL students need. They also have a great selection of "husker-gear" that very affordable. This is definitely a good place to go to buy what you need for husker games.
They also have a good selection of art supplies.

It was a big plus for us. It's one of the reasons why we decided to buy a saturn. Apart from the fact that we really liked the car, we felt that the salespersons really respected us.

Students get great discounts, but it's still very affordable if you're not a student. They show great movies that the other theaters don't normally show. They show a lot of foreign films. It is small, but not in a bad way at all. The sound and image quality is always great.

Open Harvest is the best grocery store in Lincoln. It's co-op. It sells great organic products. The quality of all the products they sell is great. They also have a great variety of European cheeses. Everything is very affordable. My favorite thing is the spices. They sell spices (also dried herbs and tea leaves...) by the weight. All the dried herbs and spices are super super good (they taste so much better than what you get in the little plastic containers at the regular grocery store). It actually ends up being A LOT cheaper that buying little jars too!!
