This is one of our favorite places to have our high school friends reunion. They have wonderful service and they try everything to try to accomodate huge groups (probably because the tip is higher). My friends like their ribs because they are cheap a certain day of the week. I personally don't like them because they are small and dry. Another one of our favorites is the chocolate volcanoe. THAT is good!

They have a huge dining hall for weddings and karoake.
Their service is decent -- for an asian restaurant.

good news: their pho are cheap compared to other places in SD, but avg pricing compared to other places in NorCal. The food is ok, taste like any other pho restaurants, just that they have a lot more variety
bad news: lousy horrible service. Very snobby waiters. Once i requested a small dish to put my sauce in, they gave me a dirty oily dish that had hair, and dust, and dirt, and stains on it. It was GROSS! And i just lost my appetite that whole day

the food is mostly general chinese food rather than Shanghai food. But even so, it's really good and authentic chinese food. One thing that really stands out about this restaurant is their decorations. The decorations are very traditional: the decorated circular entrance ways, decorated gilded ceilings, dragons and phoenixes; etc. Very beautiful....

Meals are served in traditional Ethiopian fashion — no forks here. So don't be shy, tear off a piece of injera (spongy mullet bread) and dig in.
I love their service. The lady who owns the place is very friendly and sweet.

I feel like that people these days are too much into finding things that entertain them. But if you want to learn something, i would go to The Museum of Man because it holds so much information in a tangible way that involves all 5 senses. It's history right in front of you, bringing you in.

Take a stroll through Balboa Park, and you will find yourself surrounded by beautiful architecture. Many historic artifacts are also hidden in the park. The place i love is the arbitorium where they display the most beautiful collection of orchids. Most of the museums there have admission fees, but during their christmas in the park, they are all free of admission. They always veery enjoyable events there and are mostly all free.
On a regular day, be sure to meet some people playing exotic cultural instruments, or people juggling, or fortune tellers wanting to foretell or advise.
It's a great place to take out of towners to show off the city of SD.

i love going there to study on final's week.
sometimes there is live music too which makes it more enjoyable.
Once there, you just feel like plopping down on a soft sofa and chill.
