Old world restaurant
Monday, October 17, 2005
Some remnants of this restaurant's longevity are still in evidence. It was founded in 1898 but has recently undergone a shift in ownership -- but not in essential style. Pastel walls in the larger rear dining room and the glass bricks in the "front" keep patrons from undergoing revision "shock." Recent menu changes share space with all the standards like "greens," huge veal chops, and lighter renditions of meats and fresh fish. Here you'll find a place that focuses on an Italian cuisine. Expect the average entrée to cost roughly $12 to $20, and people usually dress casual, but fashionable.
