eclectic American

Monday, October 17, 2005
Striped Bass has stunning decor, with enormous, extravagantly-draped windows, elegantly appointed tables, and an overall ambiance of affluence, both from its food offerings and its patrons. A huge stainless steel sculpture of a leaping fish presides over the open kitchen, the latter giving diners a chance to observe the preparation of the finny creatures and crustaceans that are the sole foodstuffs served here. Vegetables, salads, and desserts are also available. With culinary expertise focused on eclectic American meals an emphasis on seafood, this is definitely a fancy (yet kinda casual) restaurant.
