I guess this place opened fairly recently, because there was almost none of the happy hour crowd I was expecting. We had the chicken, and the pork, and it was fabulous. Spice in this case doesn't refer to hot spices, but flavorful ones. Anything on the menu will please your palate. Coupled with a little wine and your date will be, let's say, spiced.

I don't really get the fuss about this place. We went on a Tuesday evening and it took forever for us to get seated. The bar is a nice place to be trapped, but not for over 30 minutes. And then the sushi was mediocre, but what do you expect from stuff sitting on a conveyer belt? At least it's not too expensive. If you're in Fremont, go to Chiso's, or drive to Kisaku down in Wallingford/Tangletown, to see what sushi is supposed to taste like.

There are a few better places for sushi in Seattle, but they're a LOT more expensive! Kisaku has a good, slightly upscale atmosphere, but it's not as expensive as say the Belltown equivalents....

I've been going to this place (and the Bellevue branch) even before I moved to town. I love garlic and this place does not disappoint in that department. Generous portions, tasty fresh pitas, delicious soups and salads - dinner is almost never finished by a single individual. And the baklava is likewise excellent.
One drawback - you will reek of garlic, especially if you keep eating the leftovers.

Even better than the food is hanging out at the bar. Wei, the owner, is amazingly friendly and personable. Ask for a sake bomb, and be wary of the knock-you-over mixed drinks.

If you prefer thin, ramen-esque noodles, you'll love this place. That's the only thing I can possibly think of that might turn someone off. The first time I had it I was a little surprised, but the most delicious pho in Seattle quickly reassured me. Nice little place, set back in the International District, great atmosphere and you never feel rushed. Great iced coffee too! I'll never go anywhere else, unless I want cream puffs of course.

The conch fritters are amazing. Actually, everything I've had here is good. And the rum samplers? You might want to share those with a friend. You can get pretty loaded on them if you aren't careful.

There's almost always a line out the door, for excellent reason. Huge tasty cheap portions! I think I once managed to eat an entire burrito in one sitting, but usually it takes more like 3 sessions....
