One of hour cars was damaged during a storm this year and the windshield needed to be replaces. I did a little research and found out that there are some shops that do shady work on windshield replacements. So I tried to be careful when selecting a shop to get the work done. I called several businesses to compare prices and products and Discount Auto Glass had BY FAR (!!!) the best price on the exact same windshield as all the other shops had. We got the car back the same day and have had no problems with the windshield or the installation at all. I recommend this shop to everyone, you can trust their installation. Trust me, you WILL get the best deal there.

When someone rearended our car we called the insurance and they recommended to take the car to Kansas Coachworks to get it repaired. We took the car there and they drove us to enterprise to pick up our rental car. They had already taken care of the paperwork for us and all. It took almost 3 weeks for the repairs to be finished, but they kept us in the loop on the progress throughout the whole time. Their service people were friendly and helpful and took care of all the paperwork with the insurance and rental place for us. We didn't have any hazzle at all! When the car was finished we simply dropped off our rental car at Kansas Coachworks and drove off the lot in ours. It was bad enough that someone wrecked our car, it was really great to see a bodyshop handle this in such a professional and easy manner! I would recommend them to everybody. They also have great opening hours. They are open late and on weekends too.

I found this local travel agency when I was looking to book an overseas flight for my 11 year old daugher to fly by herself. I had looked on all the common travelsites and airline sited on the internet. I found that you can't book those sorts of flights online, so I called several agencies and airlines to compare prices. Then I found Kansas City Travel. Their service is top. The agent called me back right away, was friendly and gave me great advise. She took care of all the extra things, like permissions and fees for a minor child flying by herself. To top it off, they had by far the best available price! I would've been willing to pay more for this superior service but ended up saving money! Next time we'll travel I know to skip all the extra work of comparing prices myself. I'll go straight to Kansas City travel and let them take care of it all!

The classes are designed for little girls 4 years and up. This is the only class that I know of where you only pay when you come. There is no set fee. The only thing you have to pay is the enrollment fee which is about $12.00 and then $6.00 per session. At first I thought this was a good thing, because you don't pay when the kids can't go because they are sick or whatever other reason. But it turned out to be a negative. The classes are never the same, there are always new girls, other girls don't show up anymore, and it just disrupts the whole routine and structure of the class. Essentially you pay for nothing, because the girls don't learn anything. The teachers were different each week as well, and so there was never a chance to develop a personal connection between teacher and students. Throughout the season, the teachers never even managed to know some of the girls (that kept coming) by name. What a shame! I had the feeling that the teachers just wanted to get through that day's program regardless of whether the girls learned anything or not. Of course the uniforms (though not mandatory, for extra activities she needed one) and pom poms and books were all extra. This was really a waste of money!

Old Shawnee town consists of about 20 historical buildings from the late 1800's that can be visited and the interior is decorated with things as it would have been back then. There is an old school house and you can actually sit in the desks. there is also a real jail house, a bank, a family home, a funeral parlor (creepy), a general store and even a trading post (which hosts different exhibits). The admission for adults is only $1.00 and for kids $.50. what a bargain. it gets even better! Every year for Halloween and for Christmas the city decorates "old shawnee town" and the kids can safely trick or treat there, go for hayrides, do different arts and crafts and have a costume contest. Admission for this is free!!!!

What a wonderful, georgeous park! This park is huge and has tons of things to do for the whole family, including your dogs. There are literally dozens of shelters throughout the park (that can all be rented for private use) with grills and tables and benches for great family picnics or bbq's. There are also several bigger and smaller playgrounds throughout the park. The greatest thing however is the huge lake for boating and fishing and even a beach for swimmers. The park has horseback riding trails and nature trails for hiking. And for the doglovers there is a designated area for the dogs to run and play off the leash and go for a swim in the lake. Great family outing!

What a fun fun place for the whole family to spend the hot summer days at. This pool has something for everyone and it guarantees for a great time. They have a wading pool with a mushroom fountain for the little ones that includes a zero depth play area. For the more experienced swimmers there is a tube and a body slide. They even have a lazy river where you can just let your body drift! What's really great though, and I haven't found it at any of the other pools, is that there are umbrellas available. so you don't have to sit in the direct sun if you decide to take a break from the water. Of course there is a concession stand for little snacks and drinks.

This branch is the best out of the several other libraries around. it's conveniently located right beside the city's pool, so in the summertime we can always combine the 2 trips into 1. It's a fairly new building and is very clean. the kids' corner is great, with toys and crayons and pillows on the windowseats for the kids to sit and read while the parents choose their books. the staff is very friendly and helpful with finding the literature you are looking for. they also always have some sort of activity going on for kids, whether it is a drawing contest or story time. My kids love this library. so important for kids to discover reading at a young age and this library absolutely encourages that!

When I first walked into the store, it was like entering another world. The store is about medium size, but is overflowing with dolls and accessories. They do carry "regular dolls" for playing but their main dolls are collectibles, precious dolls. They are all high end, so don't expect to find anything in a lower price range. They also have a huge assortment of collectible beany babies. I would not recommend to take smaller kids inside the store, because of the possibility of them knocking something down and breaking it. Heaven for grown-up doll lovers! They also have a repairshop for broken dolls to get them fixed. A rare find these days!

This is always a special treat for my kids when we go to wonderscope. It's not just a museum, it's a hands on learning experience for the kids. There is something to see and learn for all age groups. There are several exhibits within the museum that are designed for different age groups. There are areas for roleplaying, where the kids can practice their shopping and banking skills, in the communications exhibit they get to actually broadcast the news and the weather and you can get a tape of your kids! there's an exhibit that teaches about space travel and they have a nature and science lab. For the little ones there's a playroom and there's also a story-telling area and puppet shows. The greatest fun for my daughters is the artroom though. They can paint and glue and create art in every possible way, even paint their faces! This is worth the trip every time! Prices are reasonable, but with a family membership you get free admission for the whole family for 1 year!
