The MU building of ASU is my favorite building, because it has everything I like in it, to be simply put.
It's where all or most ASU students go to grab a snack or eat lunch in their free time, being that there's plenty of small restaurants and shops to choose from, including a very convenient convenience store, not unlike those small gasoline station shops. I didn't say that in a bad way, mind you.
Although I do like the availability of everything in the MU, I don't particularily like the style and cleanliness and overall feel of it. The architecture is great, but the place gets so dirty, especially the lowest level, where the pool tables and arcade are. The public computers around the rim of the MU are also in VERY sad shape since I last used them--the keys were horribly sticky and disgusting and many of the buttons didn't even work. I think the MU could use a remodeling job, in my opinion.

I love this place. Every computer is a flat-screen computer and has sleek keyboards set on aesthetic circuluar computer tables. On the lower levels and also scattered throughout the commons are tables and large sofas and couches where students and meet up and study together or alone, or even take a short nap if they want. It's also directly connect to the library, so if you need to make copies of a certain book or research paper, you can do that do without walking a long ways.
Overall, the look and feel of this place is perfect, great big windows, open atmosphere, friendly student environment. perfect for the college life.
Too bad I'm not going to UA...sighs....

In the little chemistry building of ASU, there's a little room called the chem study room, where students go to when they need dire help in their classes.
The room is dirty and smells funny and the tables are broken. The computer room next door has dusty desktop computers that look ancient.
Compared to the library computers and library environment, I'm sure they could invest a little more money into the chemistry study rooms and labs.

Well, it really depends on which lecturer you get at the lecture you go to, but generally, these lectures are pretty good.
I am going to warn you though that most of these lecturers do not speak english fluently. Therefore if you're not used to a certain foreign accent, you're in tough luck. At almost every lecture, all the professors there do not speak "American English" as it's often referred to. Does that mean that good chemists are never American? I don't really know, but it would be sad if it were true.
Since I'm only a high school student though, I can't really rate these lectures on how understandable they are, because wel, there's a lot of information covered that I don't understand at all. I do make the most of it and if I try hard and pay attention, I can get a lot out of it.
ASU isn't quite friendly to people who don't attend their school though, that's why they're getting a 4 instead of 5 stars. Grr.

College is where you actually start doing something worthwhile with your life huh, as they all seem to say. Well, let's say you're two guys without money and you wanna do something interesting to get money. Well, make a coupon book. I think.
Those two guys actually DID make a coupon book and it's actually a really nice coupon book. It's aesthetically well-designed, with a neat little logo on the front and cool and humorous photos inside.
It also comes with a really neat card that you can show to certain stores around the vacinity of ASU and get 10% off! Nifty nifty.
The only thing is that these places are most likely places that you'll never go. Dang.
Oh well, nice try ASU guys.

Are you a high schooler or a middle schooler looking for a career in political science? Are you a parent who wants your kid to go into political science and wish he/she had some motivation?
This program is a YMCA-driven organization that teaches students about being a part of their government, how the government works, and gives them a plethora of leaderhsip possibilities.
The Arizona program consists of a well-balanced number of homeschoolers and publicschoolers, and a good representation of all kinds of races, so don't feel uncomfortable if you're scared your kid won't fit in.
It's not an easy peasy program though, your kid has to undergo quite a bit of homework depending on what kind of position he/she wants to receive. Being a legislator most often is the most work, but also poses the most leadership opportunities.

That's right kiddies, he's a REAL monk. From China. From monastaries and stuff. With like, a shaved head. He's growing out his hair now though. He's also single if you're into Chinese guys.
He's also offering to teach his awesome monk skills to students who are willing to learn. He so far, teaches all age groups, from 4 years old to 60.
Okay well, he knows how to do a lot of impressive stunts, but can he actually teach them? Not really, in my opinion. For a lot of feats, I think his instructional methods could be improved. If you've been training with him as long as I have, you'll see why. Hardly any of his students have really "improved" at anything. We're still doing to same things over and over again.
However, please do take his classes until you reach that point-of-no-improvement, and you'll love the exercise and the worldly experience =)

Pros:
-Xiao is about the closest you can get to a real hardcore massage therapist. Fresh from China and also a Shaolin Monk, this guy knows what he's doing.
-He's going to get a degree soon in natural medicine
-He knows how to do accupuncture, heat therapy, pressure point therapy, and chiropractice.
Cons:
-he's a bit on the expensive side, but don't blame him, he's a really nice person who's only trying to survive finacially and also suppot his leech of a sister. God, I don't like his sister.
-His uh, massage methods are HARD. Most of his patients are on the overweight side, and you'll see why because you need that blubber to cushion you from the pure power of all the prodding and beating Xiao will give you. I suggest go there if you're one of those pleasantly plump guys who sits at a computer all day.

If you're a true ahwatukee-an, anyone knows that they'll find your YMCA membership card in your purse. Really, almost everyone in Ahwatukee has a membership here, not really because of the aesthetics of the place although it IS a very pretty place, but because of its location within the Ahwatukee community.
Personally, if I were really into getting together with friends to work out and what not, I would go here.
But technically, I'm more concerned with getting a good quality work out and a comfortable exercise environment, and that's why I cancelled my membership and started another one at Lifetime Fitness, the one next to IKEA.

This school provides a horrible environment for kids. Since the school is so old, the architecture is horrendous and the overall theme reminds a lot of people of a prison. The students even joke about it frequently. It's a known fact that the MP campus is quite an eyesore.
As for the social life, I would NOT recommend staying at the school beyond school hours, it's just not safe. I wouldn't be surprised if my kid was raped there.
As for the academics, their choice of curriculum is extremely limited in comparison with DV curriculum. They hardly have any AP or Honors classes for those students who are prestigious enough to get into them. Even so, a lot of AP classes are taught by incompetent teachers that do not prepare their students for the AP test in any way, leaving the kids to fend for themselves.
Icky bad school.
