Marley's Closet is in the process of becoming a boutique for children. I'd shop there before when it was a consignment shop and I went back to look for some school things for my daughter. I was surprised to find they are becoming a nice boutique. They are now carrying brands like Vitamins Baby, Queen Christine, K Kauff-men, b.t. kids, Sara Lynn togs, Bobux shoes and more. Lullwater Conservation Park is aptly named for it is very serene, quiet and calming. That may be because it's a little difficult to find. It may also be because it's on the campus of Emory University and the students are more apt to be partying or in their room studying than out at this nondescript park. The park path (good for jogging, biking or roller blading) leads to a large pond (full of ducks and graceful swans) and then on to the gorgeous English Tudor mansion of Emory's President. This park is a fabulous place to sit and read a book, when you've got some time.

When my husband and I want some place special to dine, we often choose Little Gardens Restaurant. Even as you approach the antebellum style estate with its seven dining rooms, you know this is going to be a special dining experience. Only the freshest ingredients are used in this American Continental cuisine and the meals we've had here have always been spectacular. Their house specialties, which are prepared at your table, include Caesar salad, chateaubriand and Bananas Foster - all magnificent.

After doing some remodeling in our house, we had quite a mess - lots of drywall dust everywhere, for instance. With working full time, two kids, soccer, ballet, etc., etc., I wasn't able to find time cleaning up this mess so I decided to use a professional cleaning service. After doing research on the Internet, I decided to call Kleen Sweep because they had such high ratings - 4.3 stars on ServiceMagic, Inc. When I first called to find out a price estimate, I had to leave a message; however, I received an immediate phone response from a courteous and professional woman. I immediately scheduled an appointment for cleaning. My husband was home when the person came to clean our house. Although he is very picky, he was pleased with the professional job she did. He had a list of things he wanted her to clean and she even saw two more things that needed help. If we ever need a cleaning service again, we will definitely call Kleen Sweep for a return engagement.

The name Kennesaw is derived from the Cherokee Indian word "Gah-nee-sah," which means cemetery or burial ground. Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park is a 2,884-acre National Battlefield which preserves a Civil War battleground of the Atlanta Campaign, which occurred from June 18 to July 2, 1864. There are three battlefield areas - in front of the visitor center, off Burnt Hickory Road and at Cheatham Hill. This park offers the city's best variety of hiking trails (17.3 miles worth) and, on a clear day, some spectacular views.
Hint: Biking is not allowed on trails.

Jake's has received many, many awards from various groups. Jake's has hosted many celebrations - birthdays, showers, anniversaries - and has been the spot where many a boyfriend has asked the woman he loves to marry him. This particular restaurant is housed in a building that was originally a Fulton County Fire Station. The recipes being served at JR's have been handed down from grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many of them were originally part of The Old Hickory House Restaurants. You won't be disappointed - and if you are, be sure to let your waitress know. JR says, "If you receive any food that is not what you expected or not to your taste, PLEASE as a great service to me, ask your server to replace it. If you are still not completely happy, PLEASE, PLEASE inform your server and it will be taken off your check. Remember, you should never waste your hard earned dollars for something that is not worth the value." Now, that's customer satisfaction!
