While spending the day in Coupeville, we ate lunch at the Knead and Feed. It's below street level and reached by a set of stairs, no handicap access. The restaurant has a great view of the Puget Sound directly below the windows. It's a small place, probably seats 30-40. We were there for lunch. The menu is not large, soup, salad, and sandwiches on their homemade bread. I had the shrimp bisque. The soup had good flavor and was served with two generous slices of bread and a big dollop of butter. The soup contained small "salad" shrimp. I also had a "famous" cinnamon roll. It was a large roll and was fine, but not as good as my own recipe! Others at the table had the 1/2 sandwich and salad special. They were happy with their choices. I wasn't brave enough to try their rye bread, it's positively black! They make several different pies for dessert. My sister-in-law got the chocolate chip pecan and it was very good. It'd be even better warmed up with a scoop of ice cream. The wait staff was very pleasant.
