Great place to go for a Traditional Vietnamese Hoagie. They also carry great Iced Coffee, Vietnamese Style. Although the store is take out only, the food is great! Whenever in the area, I always buy at least 6, because when u buy 5 you get 1 free. They are great to eat for lunch or dinner, or just a snack! The fresh bread is made each morning, so if you go early, you can have the hoagies on the freshly baked bread, which is to die for!

Imperial Inn is my favorite place to go to in Philadelphia's Chinatown for Dim Sum. I enjoy the variety of dishes they have, as well as the option of ordering something right from the menu. Their prices are in line with the other dim sum restaurants in the area. Their dinner menu is also quite good. It is a typical chinese restaurant menu, but I believe that their food is of a higher quality than some of the other chinese restaurants in the area.

While there are many bakeries in Chinatown that offer many of the same items, I believe that the International bakery, although slightly farther away, provides the superior product. I expecially enjoy their cakes, which can be pre-ordered for large parties. The cake itself is very light, and you can choose from a variety of fillings (Iprefer traditional fruit filling).
The prices are just right in line with the other bakeries in the area.

This is one of Stephen Starr's best restaurants! The Head chef is Morimoto himself, provides a world class menu worthy of an Iron Chef. I would highly recommend the Omakase, which is a seven course meal chosen by the chef himself. There are a few raw items on the menu, so please be forewarned if you do not eat raw meat. The taste of the food is exteremely flavorful, and I would have to say this is one of my favorite restaurants of all time.
The price can get quite expensive, but I believe that it is well worth the price.
The atmostphere is a lil out of place, with the restaurant being located on 7th and chestnut, but it is cool nonetheless.

Of the many Stephen Starr restaurants, this is probably one of the more inexpensive places. The style of food is also very different from his other restuarants. The comfort food is great for brunch on the weekends, and I really do enjoy their monkey bread. Reservations aren't neccessary but are probably recommended.

Being Vietnamese, I was excited to try out this Vietnamese restaurant in Bethesda. Boy was I disappointed. The Shaky beef had more vegetables in it than Beef. Also note, Real shaky beef does not contain potatoes. I believe they tried to put potatoes in to make it look like a large portion of beef. Also, since it was a tiny location, i can't help but feel rushed by the staff, as they were trying to rush us out so they can bring in more business. I would have to say that if you want authentic Vietnamese food, The Green Papaya is not the place to go.

For all the college students out htere, this is a nice place with good chinese take-out. I really enjoy the fact that they have chicken wings as well. They are also open late, so if you get a case of the late night munchies, this would be a great place to go. My favorite dish would have to be their chicken wings and lomein. I think their lomein is one of the best in the city!
They do charge for delivery, but they give you free items when your order is over a certain amount ($10,15, 25)

Their meats are fresh and prepared very well. The place itself is a little on the small side, but they have seating upstairs as well. I really do enjoy their Peking Duck. If you cannot finish an entire order or half order you can always get their Peking Duck roll. I also really enjoy the roast pig, but they only have that on occasion, and many times they run out of it by dinner time. Great food, crowded atmosphere, and decent service. The price is just right too.. not too expensive, but It could be cheaper in comparison to toher duck houses.

Mama Lucia's is a comfortably priced italien restaurant with good and friendly service. I love their thin crusted pizza. Their Pesto Pasta is also one of my favorites. It's a great place to take your family because kids can always find something they want. Group dining in their back room is nice, It provides some privacy, but probably not enough. Seating outside on nice days is also great!
