I received a 1/2 day package as a birthday gift and loved every second. Though the experience was amazing and I would love to go back often, it is a little expensive and probably best saved as a splurge or special treat. The starting foot massage is a nice mellow way to begin. I enjoyed the manicure and facial, and loved the treatment with the multiple shower heads and the jetted tub.
Parking is a bit tricky since it's smack in downtown, and I can't remember if they validate for the garage. All in all, I've recommended Ummelina to many people who have all enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next time I can treat myself to a special day of luxury!

Dr. Cole's been my doctor for over a year. Besides typical ob/gyn stuff, like annual exams and related prescriptions, she's also been a great resource for other medical issues. I had a crazy bout of strep throat this year that she addressed (and directed me toward a great ENT doctor when it was clear that my tonsils needed more care than she should be giving). She's also very easy to talk to, takes notes when she's reviewing your file, and answers any and all questions candidly and openly. I feel like she really listens and I really appreciate that she's very straightforward about her suggestions without being condescending.
Her office is generally friendly and efficient - usually pretty easy to get an appointment. Parking is not bad - using the Swedish garage is $2 for an hour and my last appointment only took 45 min.

I've been to Dream Clinic twice and loved both sessions with Talina. She asks questions about my life & job and where and how I carry stress and takes time to assess my posture and my natural stance before we even get started. She applies good pressure and is open to adjustments (not that I asked for or needed any). After my massages, she's always mentions any particular areas that seemed unusually tight or off kilter, and makes suggestions about how to alleviate them, with stretches or by changing some habits.
Prices are definitely in line with the competition - and the citysearch coupon for 1st timers is a very nice way to start off your first visit. As others mentioned, easy parking, convenient location, and casual but comfortable environment.

Gotta love a place that keeps your cup of chai filled, with every refill as tasty as the first cup! Of course, drinking all that chai makes it tricky to eat all they yummy dishes, but somehow we manage to put away plenty of food. I love the butter chicken, and their garlic naan is fabulous! Servings appear small, but are actuallly surprisingly filling, and all that basmati rice doesn't hurt!

I read the reviews here and at citysearch (and used the coupon there) and made my appt at mode. Philana cut my hair, seemed to listen for the most part to what I was saying about my daily routine and my hope for a low maintenance style. I got a fairly unexciting cut - I'm Asian and did mention to her that I wanted anything but the typical chin length bob, but somehow or another, it's basically what I wound up with (just a more blunt version). I didn't hate it enough or want to spend the time to ask her to change/fix it. The cut itself is quite good - it's been about a month now and growing out well.

I've never had a burger here, but was in the U-village area one morning and decided to try their breakfast. Eggs and sausage - while not overwhelmingly spectacular, overall, it was pretty tasty and very reasonably priced. The interior definitely has a 70's diner kind of feel. LOTS of families with little kids, so if you're looking for a quiet breakfast, this is probably not the right place. I wouldn't go out of my way to do it, but i wouldn't object to eating breakfast there again. Maybe i'll try a burger next time!

Hing Loon has the best congee (rice porridge) in Seattle - my favorite is the 1000 year old egg & salted pork. Their wonton noodle soup is also very good, and the salted fish and diced chicken fried rice is perfect every time. I always come here for my Chinese "diner food" fix. Service is friendly and usually pretty fast and most dishes are extremely reasonably priced, if not just plain cheap!

Aki's Body Shop fixed my broken car door hinge very quickly and washed it too! Friendly service and they can send you online updates on your repair by request! Only challenge is that they close shop kind of early and could be challenging getting to Ballard at end of work day. Oherwise, couldn't ask for a better shop!
