This restaurant is a classic and here to stay, unlike many of NY's gems that have come and gone. It's always wonderful, food is always delicious, and everyone should go to Gramercy Tavern if they are in New York. They also give you a nice muffin to take home for breakfast the next morning :) cheaper option is to eat in the tavern.
