For kareoke lovers everywhere--this is the place to be!!! While they do not offer it every night, it is worth giving them a call and asking. The food is also delicious, especially the home made pizza. I also like their soups. I know that soup sounds boring and so many restaurants offer the same kinds of soup, over and over again. The soup at "Moose Bar and Grill" is truly superb! They also have pool, dart boards, big screen TV's and much more--you can fulfill all of your entertainment and dining needs in one shot!

After spending some time in Spain during college, I was anxious to find a place in the States that offers some of the same exciting options--marvelous cuisine, fun dances and great food! "La Bodega" has satisfied my Spanish longings. The dancing happens on Wednesday through Saturday nights and is even great for those who are not dance-savvy. From my experience, the food siq utie authentic as well. With a location right on Lyndale Ave. in Minneapolis, this tapas bar is easy to find and easy to enjoy!

I got my hair cut here right before I started my job; I was looking for something that was more professional, stylish and easy to maintain! Village Hair fulfilled my expectations wonderfully and I went away happy. I think that my cut cost around $28. If you live in St. Louis Park, you might be able to find an occassional coupon in your mailbox. I had a $5 coupon. My stylist was very professional and very friendly--she did a great job! I would highly recommend Village Hair next time you need a cute cut! It is conveniently located right off of Highway 100 and Excelsior Blvd in St. Louis Park.

If the Minneapolis Farmer's Market did not exist, I don't know where I would find good produce. Sure, the other local grocery stores carry "fresh" produce during summer months but nothing can compare to the deliciousness of the produce at the Minneapolis Farmer's Market. I recently discovered that it will be open through Christmas Eve this year so I will be sure to see what fresh goodies they have during the winter. I am always amazed at the local goods that I can find.
Even though it can be a little hard to find, maybe just for the navigationally challenged, I think that it is worth the extra work! Plus, it is a fun, Saturday outing, much more exciting than a trip to Lund's or Rainbow!

There are so many different kinds of bread in this world and it can be such an essential part of your diet, that is why it is so vital that the bread products you eat are delicious and worth the calories!
I would heartily recommend the Breadsmith, with locations in St. Paul and Minnetonka. Their bread is organic and often made with whole wheat; how refreshing to eat bread that tastes good AND is good for you!
Do not come here expecting to find donuts, remember what I said about HEALTHY bread products! However, their breads are delicious and you won't even miss the donuts!

Famous Dave's is a MInneapolis staple! For those who do not know, it all started in Minneapolis, ever so long ago. Since moving here 6 months ago, I have been to Famous Dave's several times and have not been disappointed yet!
My husband and I like to split a platter which includes a rack of ribs and several sides. The sides that I would recommend is the Drunkin' Apples and the baked beans. Actually, everything is amazing! The corn bread biscuits are great; and I do not even like cord bread, as a general rule.
The Famous Dave's in uptown has a blue's band that plays every night of the week around 7:30 or 8 pm. Even though you have to pay a cover of $5 to get in after the band is playing, I would recommend trying it at least once.

Although the Har Mar strip mall is one of the oldest strip malls in the Twin Cities, it is a must stop for all who are passing through and those who have lived here forever! It offers a wide variety of stores, including a Baja Sol, a Northwestern and Barnes & Noble book stores, a great scrapbooking store, several other great restuarants for any price range along with a TJ Maxx and a Marshalls--both good stores but tiring to shop in. You can also catch a movie while you're strolling through. I would recommend that you check out the pet store as well--I can never get enough of the both crazy and cute animals in pet stores! It is a good opportunity to enjoy the benefits of having a pet, without the responsibility!

They offer a variety of Thai, Vietnamese, Thai and other types of Oreintal dishes. My personal favorite is the coconut milk curry--of course, you can never go wrong with coconut milk in anything and the curry makes it extra tasty!
Big Bowl also offers both mild and spicy food, to please any palate! The stir-fry bar is one of my favorite options, allowing you to mix and pick your own ingredients for a customized dish that will be sure to please.

Jamba Juice is definitely a great place to go for a healthy, but sweet snack. They offer smoothies of several varieties, including pretty much any kind of fruit you can imagine. I like to go to the one near Lake Calhoun, located conveniently in the Whole Foods Grocery Store. While you are there, do not forget to pick up some of your favorite organic goods!
Buying smoothies from Jamba Juice is a great way to get yuor nutrition, without the calories.

"The Depot" seems to specialize in the typical deli fare, including sandwiches and soups of all varieties. They also offer coffee and tea items, both hot and cold. To their credit, they offer live entertainment several nights a week, usually. However, I have observed that this entertainment is geared toward teens i.e. teenage bands trying to get popular, etc. It can be good, if you like that kind of thing. One thing that does annoy me about "The Depot" is that it is open at random, sporadic times so I can never be sure if it will be open when I decide to show up. For example, sometimes they are open on Fridays at 6 pm and other Fridays they close at 3 pm. Whatever...
