As with most thrift stores, you have to watch your merchandise and inspect them very closely. They have great clothing, but please be sure to make sure your clothing is in top shape before you buy it. But I have gotten really expensive clothing there, new, for like pennies to what it would have cost if I had bought it new. I have found books and knick-knacks as well. I like going here for thrift store shopping. You really don't know what you will find. Their hours are ok, and the donation drop off is good as well. I don't like parking here, as there are not enough spaces. But other than that, it is an ok place! Give it a try!

Sometimes you can tell them you want the sales price right then. Sometimes you will get it, too. I love to just go in and look. But be aware that sometimes the clerks can be a little pushy. The prices are good. Location is good. I have found that Kay's Jewelers has the latest and most unique pieces. I think they get a lot of business here in the area. In fact, I know many people who have bought items from here and have always been satisfied. I know I am.

Lowery's Jewelry has been in Shelby for a long time. The shop is located on West Warren Street. They seem to compete with Arnold's more than anyone else. I prefer Lowery's instead of Arnold's. The reason is I think Lowery's are more trustworthy and honest than Arnold's. I don't like Arnold's business dealings, and I won't patronize them at all. But Lowery's is different. I like them. I like going there, and sometimes I will buy. They are nice and kind, of course, but they seem to take a genuine interest in you as a customer. I will be a customer of Lowery's for a long time as long as they keep doing what they are doing. They are wonderful.

I really like going to New Life Baptist Church. Located at 97 Shiloh Ranch Road, this church is a small church, but it meets my needs. I do not like the location of it, but I do like the parking. I sometimes get there late, but it is always easy to locate a good parking space. I like the people who go there. They do not try and preach their religion on you. And, they are very friendly and nice. I like the way I feel when I go to this church. The sermons are great. In fact, I think it's only the location I don't like. If you are looking to try and new church, this one may be for you.

Used to be people would say only sophisticated, stuck-up people would go to Broadway Baptist Church. Today, that is not true. They do so much for the community, and the people who go there are really wonderful. They are located on McCurdy Avenue in Rainsville, and it is very easy to find. The people who go there are warm and friendly, and they would love to have you visit them. I think they think that if you visit one time, you probably won't stop going. Well, that was true for me. I have always like Broadway Baptist Church. The sermons are great as well. If you are looking for a new church, try visiting them and see what you think.

I use Dr. Thomas Horton as a family doctor. However, I am getting not to like his office staff. Maybe it is because it is a small town and many of his patients do not "question" things and maybe do not have much of an education. I hope this came out right. I won't go into detail right now, but I will keep this updated if things change. But I do like Dr. Thomas Horton. He is very patient and kind. I do think he tries to see too many patients at once, but hey, what can you do nowadays! I like the location. It is fantastic! The parking is ok. His office is named Rainsville Family Practice. His office is located next to Rite Aid Pharmacy.
Update: This review was originally written in 2005. Dr. Horton no longer practices in Rainsville.

I like using Rainsville Drugs for all my prescription and non-prescription needs. I like the smallness of the store. It is easier to find what you need without asking for help. I love to be able to go into a store and find what I need and then get it without asking for help. This store lets you do that. I like the staff as well. The pharmacist is very nice. I like the parking at this drugstore, too. I like to be able to get in and out very easily, and I can do that here (even when crowded). The staff is very kind and helpful. I recommend this drugstore for all your needs. Give them a try!

I have used Brown's Automotive Service located on East Road for a long time. I have found them reliable and honest. The work is always done when they say it will be done. I have always been pleased with how they treat me. They treat me as a customer, not a dollar sign. I like that. The price is really good, and I like that they call me if the price is going to be more than what they said originally. And, if they find something else wrong, they call me as well. I have known many people who have gone here and they all are as pleased as I am. I hope you get the same results as we have.

I have always found it a good idea to keep the phone number of a few local and good wrecker companies in my wallet. That sure came in handy one day when my car wouldn't start. I called Clary's and they came and got my car. They were quick and fast, and I simply loved dealing with them. I thought I'd be charged a lot, but I wasn't. I was impressed they didn't try and rip me off. I didn't have a problem with them at all, and I will always recommend them for that reason. Keep their number ... you never know when it will come in handy.

I was referred to this business by a local auto repair service. I found Shelby Radiator to be reliable and dependable. I feel they were not trying to rip me off either. Their location is a little hard to get to, especially if you are not familiar with the back streets/roads. But you can call them for exact location information. Parking was ok there. But I really liked the employees. They were nice and kind, and my car was ready when they said it would be. I am recommending Shelby Radiator Service! You will love them!
