Best Bike Shop for the Serious Cyclist

Wednesday, March 09, 2005
Sitting on the side of the Burke-Gilman trail near the University Village (on NE Blakeley), this little shop is a great place for all things cycling. The mechanics are some of the best around, the staff are all serious cyclists themselves who will give you practical advice. The store specializes in TiCycles -- titanium and steel bikes built by a custom NWframe maker (I have the steel and carbon Hyak and it is dreamy) but also have a number of other bikes for mountain biking, cyclocross, and road racing. If you don't see what you want, they can get it for you. I have ordered bikes, wheels, and other parts without difficulty. This is not the place to buy your child's first bike, but it is the place to buy their first racing bike...
