The Getty is a definite place to go check out in the city of los angeles. it's right off of the 405 freeway and the location is kind of on top of a hill. The location is beautiful and the museum itself is a great place. they obviously put a lot of work into this place and its a huge clean place with great architecture. the place houses lots of classic pieces, so don't expect modern art.

The Museum of Tolerance is a place you should check out at least once to gain some perspective and learn some history of what happened to certain people in history. The holocast exhibit is pretty well known and its a definite experience. Check it out! You shouldn't be dissapointed. I think the prices were cheap.

The Museum of Contemporary Art is a great place to catch the latest modern art exhibits as well as the current pieces on display. The location is in the heart of los angeles and the place is very clean and nicely kept. They have discounts for students and such. There is also a little cafe, but it's nothing too spectacular compared to the MOMA in new york.
